You probably just need the one piece. Here is a link for a source for both pieces. Just order one or both. I use these people on a regular basis and have been very happy with them.
Thank You for using Fixya.

Black ink streak on left side of paper on hp 1012, just put in new toner

Run a half test.
Put paper in the manual feed tray(tray 1).
Send a print job to printer. When the paper gets 3/4 of the way into the printer, open the cover. Pull out the toner cartridge, look down at the sheet inside the printer. Does it have the streak on the left side? If yes...your toner cartridge is bad. If no...replace the fuser.

Trying to change paper size from A4 to 8.5x11 on a Xerox Workcentre M123

  1. Pull out the paper tray.
  2. If necessary, slide the paper tray edge guides so that the guides are open.
    1. To adjust the side and rear guides, pinch the guide lever on each guide and slide the guides to their new position.
    2. To secure the guides in position, release the levers.
  3. Load the paper against the left-hand side of the paper tray. Paper can be loaded either short edge feed or long edge feed.
  4. If necessary, slide the paper edge guides so that they just touch the edge of the paper stack.

NOTE: When loading standard size paper, set the edge guides onto the notches on the paper tray to match the paper size.

  5. Close the paper tray.
  6. Set the machine to detect the paper size automatically, or manually specify the required size.

NOTE: Paper sizes detected by the machine vary depending on the Machine Administrator setting. See the Related Items below for additional information.

  7. If the type of paper has changed in the paper tray, then the paper type must be changed on the Control Panel as well. See the To modify the paper type on the Control Panel section below.
Normally just the guides need to be set correctly in the paper tray, The tray size sensing switched may be bad or the actuator on the tray may have slipped position.

Keeps saying no paper in tray although paper is in tray

I encounter that problem before, after I checked the sensors, feed unit and mechanism nothing is wrong or broken but still NO PAPER indicates on the display .I only noticed with the machine is the cassette tray or the paper tray, when you try to pullout the cassette tray and look at its left side, there is missing parts on it. There is a spring and actuator on it that will engage on the feed unit drive. Try to find the same machine and look at the cassette tray to see the missing parts on it. You can buy a new cassette because the parts that is missing maybe not available.

Paper Tray #1 error message

on your control panel, press "menu/set" "7" then "2". if your page count shows 288,888, you have a bad engine controller board. anything other than that count, most likely is a damaged paper cassette. there is a tab on front left side that is probably worn or broke off.

Message says check cassette Info. code =011

it means that you broke the little tab at the end of the paper tray

there is a way you can fix it.. take the tray out and put it on the side. look in where the tray would go on the left hand side if you follow the wall back you will see a hole with a upside down letter U. if you have a "sticky note, yellow note, what ever you want to call it" fold it into a small thick square and put it in the hole if you did it right the machine will say no recording paper.. if not add more paper or you can buy a new tray

Brother mfc8460n message no tray. tray is in.

The sensor also has a spring to the left that enables it to go to its default location. If this spring is missing then the sensor will not detect the tray and display the "No Tray" message even though the tray is in place.

How do we add an additional paper tray to the existing printer?

from the printer menu, go into the paper menu, change the "default source" to tray 2.

Also, on each computer that you have the driver loaded on, you can right click on the printer icon, go to properties, and select your default printing options.

now you're testing my memory. The paper loads from the right side. You need a paper tray. The paper comes out on the left side. Also, the top is a moving platen (remember those?) so you need to have enough space around the copier for the top to slide left and right. Before buying a new drum, make sure you have a paper tray. No sense paying for a supply for something you cannot use. I need to check with a few people to see if I can find the reset sequence. It was in the manual, but like you, I no longer have one for that product.

The broken part is called the bell crank arm part number 56P1228 this is very common. If the printer isn't recognising your tray, remove it and check the little plastic fingers on the left side (half way down the tray) and the metal springs in the printer (left side) which the tray pushes on to.
