DVD Audio Trouble

Hi there, I have a Samsung DVD-rom. The specific trouble is that there's no sound output with this device.
in JetAudio I can see video, but there's no sound, in powerDVD there's sound but no image... curious.
A trace: In windows help it mentions that there might be a conflct between some programs with image overlaying...
But I can find real solutions...
WelI re-installed my OS with windows XP SP3, I guess the probl with audio DVD is occured since I installed PowerDVD 7.0,
First I thought it was a problem of region code, no solution with DVD_Region+css sotware. Then I tryed with configuration of sond, Tool Solution of WIndows, nothing till now...
I don't know exactly when I disactivate some video options , cause in PowerDVD appear as discativated.
Even though, there's an option in their configuration window in wich I can not access: Intervideo, always get hold down.
Finally I tried to uninstall this aplication, but unfortunately any way that I tried has failed till now, the uninstall liks get closed automatically...

I really aprecciate any help....

It is difficult to diagnose your problem, but let me give you a bit of information.

The device itself is not an issue. The problem is in the operation of your applications, and most likely, the AC3 or MPG-2 CODEC.

I strongly suggest downloading the FREE K-Lite CODEC pack with free Media Player Classic from any number of sites that can be found with a quick Google. It uses the ubiquitous ffdshow and libavcodec and libmpg2 decoders. Did I mention it is Free?

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do I hook up the 2 audio outputs from CD-ROM on Intel D101GGC

You shouldn't need to connect audio connections from drives to the motherboard unless you are using A Win 9x operating system. Digital Audio Extraction is used for WinXP and later and the analog cables are no longer needed

Sorry no info on the pinouts

No sound

Either the sound driver is not installed or
Your player doesn't support the DVD's audio extension or
There are some audio options (like in the case of VLC player you have Audio--audio track--track1,track2) causing the trouble.

I would like to suggest you to use a software that can handle most of the file extension like VLC.
Secondly,to check if the driver is installed or not go to Control Panel--Sound,Speech and audio devices--sound and audio devices--see if you can slide the Device Volume and if it's dimmed than the driver is not installed also check if Mute is unchecked.
For downloading the driver, note down the Motherboards model no. and search the specific driver on Google.
