Mr. ??????????????????. Dear Sir, On the date of December 14th 2009 I have purchased Nokia N8 (I.M. No: 352684049906048) from the seller titled ?US İletişim Gıda Tic. ve Şans Oyunları Ltd. Şti.? of İstanbul -Turkey with the invoice no 065022 which has become defective only nine 9 days later I have purchased it, i.e. on December 24, 2010. The defect has occurred as follows: The screen has blackened out. Despite the telephone recharge was full it did not respond to any of my commands and did not turn on. Two days thereafter it suddenly came to life and was normal (that is to say I could make and receive calls and send messages). But then again the screen has got confused (i.e. the key lock; the weather report and the favorites menu which I have loaded on the main page have disappeared from the screen without my command, came back and disappeared over and over again). And as ı wanted to enter Ovi market and download the applications, Ovi market was also deleted from the applications menu by itself. Finally, I called Nokia authorized dealer in İstanbul on Friday 31st December 2010 and the technical service has advised me if the software is downloaded again the problem would disappear. And after the New Year?s holiday of 2 days I have taken my mobile phone to the service today on 03.01.2011. There a small program was downloaded but the aforesaid defects have not been corrected and still continued. Then, the technical service of the aforesaid company said that the phone should be send to the İstanbul head office for repairs. Now, as you would appreciate, I have paid approx. US$ 800 for this phone (too expensive because Turkish tax system) and it has become defective only after using it 9 days, and naturally I am depressed extremely for that. I asked myself, why I should allow my brand new telephone having repaired but not replaced with a brand new one? I have bought it new and I desired to use it new; not a repaired phone! Based on the foregoing, I request you kindly to replace my Nokia N8 mobile phone or cause it to be replaced by those who sold a problematic phone to me in Turkey. 800 US Dollars are a lot of money here; you can buy a laptop or a flat TV with that sum of money. But I wanted to buy a good mobile phone brand new and so have chosen Nokia. And now I expect your entity to fix my problem ASAP not by fixing my new phone but by replacing it with a new one. Furthermore, my Nokia ???????????.? model mobile phone which I have sent to your address for repairs on 30.01.2009 through Turkish Postal Service PTT with the post code of RR092425091TR has not returned to me albeit 2 years has passed (30.01.2009- 23.01.2011). Please also be aware of this fact, check your files, find the missing link and send me my own property: the aforesaid Nokia 6510-351349107039964İME NUMBER model mobile phone accordingly. Based on the foregoing, please also be aware of the fact that If I cannot receive a brand new Nokia N8 as a replacement of my defective Nokia N8 (I.M. No: 352684049906048) and not receive my own property Nokia ??????????? model mobile phone that has been send to your party for repairs with the post code ??????? I shall have to commence legal proceedings for full compensation of the damages inflicted to me in relation to the two mobile phones you have produced. Sırrı Ersoy ATV News Cameraman

SOURCE: Programming a phone to pick up calls

I need more information. When calls come in, does the triangles appear on the phones you want to pick up? Do you have all the lines on the phones? Is sounds like you want only the "ringing sound" to happen on your phone, but have it appear on the others. Is this correct??

SOURCE: cannot program, menu stuck on Spanish, cannot access main menu from mute/ok button

I know this should be a MUCH more techie answer, but have you tried just asking a nearby Mexican to help you? Just a thought.....

You say you cannot get to the menu from the mute/ok button?

What happens instead?
FROM DA BOOOK looks pretty clear to me.

Handset Setup
1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in TALK mode).
2. Press the mute/menu OK button to go to the main menu.
3. Press CALLER ID-VOLUME ( 6 or 5) button to scroll to HANDSET SETUP.
4. Press mute/menu OK button to confirm and you may program the following items: Language, Handset Name, Ringer Tone, Ringer Volume, VIP Melody, Key Tone, Set Day/Time, Equalizer, Area Code, Tone/Pulse, Registration, Deregistration and Default Setting.
NOTE: During programming, you may press the END/cancel button at any time to exit the sub-menu and return to the menu.
Language
From the Handset Setup Menu:
1. Press the CALLER ID-VOLUME ( 6 or 5) button to scroll to the SET LANGUAGE sub-menu.
2. Press mute/menu OK button to enter the menu. SET LANGUAGE 1ENG 2FRA 3ESP shows in the display.
3. Use the touch tone pad on the handset to select 1ENG, 2FRA, 3ESP, or use the CALLER ID-VOLUME ( 6 or 5) button to scroll to the desired language. English is the default setting.
4. Press the mute/menu OK button to save your selection. You will hear a confirmation tone and the selected language shows in the display.

SOURCE: Nortel T7316E Call Forwarding - Outside Line

The Nortel call forwarding (feature 4) is for forwarding the ringing and intercom from one extension to another.ex. if you were going to be working in the conference rm. instead of at your desk, with the forward on to the conference rm. extension, the calls you get at your desk will transfer to the conference rm. phone. Call forwarding through your service provider is done by accessing the telephone line you wish to forward, dial *72 (you should get dialtone reordered)and dial the telephone number to where you want the calls to be forwarded to. the party on where your forwarding the line to has to answer the line for the forward to take place. to remove call forwarding , access the line you have the forward on and dial * 73, you should recieve a stuttered dialtone for confirmation that the service is off

SOURCE: phone won't ring with incoming calls

I just bought a new Uniden DECT 6.0 phone and had a similar problem. It wouldn't ring when plugged into my Linksys voip router, but my old 5.8 GHz did ring. It would get a dialtone and make calls, but when called via an outside line, it would appear as if it was ringing. If I picked up during this "silent ring," it would answer and take the call. It wasn't a ringer volume issue. I called tech support, they said on the main headset, unplug the battery, then unplug power from the base, then unplug the phone cord from the base. Wait 15-30s. Plug the phone cord, then power, then reinstall the battery. Press the End button on the phone. Put the phone on the base for 15-30s. Pick up the phone. Press and hold the Find button on the base. Do this Find thing 3 times. Put the phone back on the base. Wait 10-15 minutes. Then try calling it to see if it rings. Worked for me, finally got it to ring before I decided to return it.

I have a Nikon D90 with 18-105 mm lens. Lately, the onboard flash has not been firing even when I try to enforce it by having the flash popped up. It will only fire if I do one of the following: 1)...

Sounds like a dodgy electrical contact, possibly between the lens mount and the camera body. The lens ought to still be in warranty, but that would depend on what warranty the manufacturer or seller offer in your part of the world (in the UK, the seller is responsible for the first year). Try to find the warranty documentation. To get warranty coverage, you will almost certainly have to have the dated receipt.

My nokia 3110c not working properly

Clean and dry the battery terminals, check if the battery has swollen which indicates poor battery, reset all the settings to factory default, possibility of bad memory cells (memory card), it seems the handset is still in warranty period, contact nokia customer care for free repairs or replacement.
