Take off/unscrew the upper bass/mid , insert your hand and gently twist the tweeter magnet assembly anti-clockwise about a quarter of a turn, and remove thru upper bass hole Peter Speakerworks.com.au

SOURCE: the tweeter and highs are not working on my

Yes you can! odds are it is the tweeter, and a female jack clips on the speaker, just make sure the polarity is correct by looking at + or- side so the wire goes to the correct side on the new driver also. The speaker replacements must be ordered from Infinity to keep a matched sound.

Can infinity tweeter be repared

Well...the short answer is yes. It can be rebuilt by a someone that does this but if this is a car speaker you just need to replace the tweeter. If it is part of an all in one speaker you can still replace just the tweeter but I would just replace the speaker at that point.

Polk rti6 tweers blown...4 speakers.....can these tweeters be repaired

It may be possible to have the tweeters repaired by Polk however if you have the skills your least expensive route would be to replace the tweeters and install them your self. I would recommend using the internet to find replacement tweeters either through Polk or possibly Ebay, or Amazon. Each tweeter has 2 wires that must be removed before uninstalling. Note the polarity and where they connect. red is + POSITIVE , BLACK IS - NEGATIVE

Back speakers can't handle bass

you need to replace all the speakers in the truck except the front tweeters if you have them. I replaced all four with new infinitys from futureshop. Installed it was near 500 dollars. You need to get 2 ohm to match the infinity deck if yours is infinity. Most other systems are 4 ohm, these are 2 x 2 ohms for 2 and 4 ohm use. the factory's are garbage and use paper cones. The rears have plastic caps holding the tweeters in. On all four the paper was ripped away from the magnet and it caused them to vibrate and shake, once replaced with 180 watt infinitys...great sound.

Component speaker not working

The easiest thing to test is to try swapping the connections of the front component speakers at the amp connections. If the problem follows the speakers, the issue is probably with the speakers. I would triple check (again) the speaker wire connections. It's also possible the crossover for the driver side component speakers has an issue (thus why the tweeter worked for a while).

If the problem stays on the drivers side, the issue is probably with that channel on the amp. Triple check the RCA connections for that channel.

It's much easier to test other speakers on an amp channel versus trying to check it with a meter.

If the driver's door is "abused" often, my initial thought is the wiring at the speaker or the wiring in the speaker (to voice coil, within the crossover, etc) is the most likely culprit.

TweeTer Not working.

The only way I can think of to check is to disconnect the leads to the tweeter, then check resistance with an Ohm-meter...no reading means dead speaker.
