The Keyboard will be plugged into the back of the computer, if you just pull the end of the cable it'll come out quiet easy (Keyboards are made to be plugged in and out a lot so it is extremelly hard to do any damage). The new once should just pop in quiet easily to the same slot you pulled the old one out of. Then just turn on your computer it may take a few minutes to detect the new keyboard but once it does your good to go for another 5 years
