Question about Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD Car DVD Player

I bought a pioneer avh-p4100dvd from the u.s. and i live in australia and my dvd's dont play because of the dvd region code. is there a way to bypass this problem?

No there in not
you must take it to a shop to change the code

Hi Scotty,
I have some bad news for you, this player is preset to region 1 and it cannot be changed, here is an extract from page 7 of the user manual...If you need the manuals email me at john527j@hotmail.com

DVD video disc region numbers
DVD video discs that have incompatible region
numbers cannot be played on this player. The
region number of the player can be found on
the bottom of this unit and this manual (refer
to Specifications on page 113).

if the dvd disk have serial numbers ie should be originals .

I live in germany and want to play dvd,s from Australia, Pioneer DV-360 from german store


Most DVD players I've seen are either multi-regional or one-region units. The DVD player you bought might be a one-region device. I'd check on that first. If it is, then you'll only be able to play DVD's made for that particular region. If it is multi-regional, look in the manual or go to Pioneer's website to possibly find the codes.
