Hello christina.... Try this to put in the test mode. Put the program selector knob at the 6:00 position. Put the speed spin selector knob at the 9:00 position. Press and hold the pre-wash button and then press the power button. The 5 leds should light up. This will test the door lock switch. Hopefully it will unlock and reset. If not it's best to call for service as some complicated tests will have to be run.

Remove the lower front panel.
Reach up inside on the door latch side and find the pull ring tab.
Pull down on the tab and the door will unlatch,
Your door lock wax motor and possibly the latch mechanism will have to be replaced.

Whirlpool washing machine wont stop all lights

Check your washer plug to see if the connections are tightly screwed. Next check your filter if you haven't for long.

Remove the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel under the washer door. Your filter door will be light brown. If you find a hose there it is to drain out excess water (water that could not be drained by your pump) After you hv drained unscrew the cap and remove all the junk inside. Have a large plastic bag to catch junk and water. Refit carefully after cleaning out. If not solved, something shd be blocking your pump, check this out.

While the machine is on press "end of cycle" for 3 seconds, then wait for 2 minutes to try the door. Try this again if it does not open, this is the child lock program - to lock and unlock; it is the same procedure.

How abt a nice rating for the free help? Thnks
