Question about Computers & Internet
PLEASE CREATE A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT BEFORE PROCEEDING !!!
You'll need to tweak your Registry a bit:
1. Open Start Menu >> Run. Type "regedit" (without the quotes) and press Enter.
This will open the registry editor.
2. Navigate to the following path:
** If the registry key StorageDevicePolicies doesn't exist, you'll need to create it manually.
3. Double click the key WriteProtect in the right window, and set the value to 0 in the Value Data box. Press OK.
4. Restart your computer.
5. Try to format your USB flash drive.
(if you experience any problems after editing the Registry,
roll your system back to the restore point you created.)
