  1. A vent less dryer, or condensing dryer, is a type of dryer that uses tap water to dispel the heat from the dryer. This type of dryer is useful for homes that cannot vent heat through outside sources, or for individuals who do not want an open vent leading to the outside of their home. Vent less dryers can also sit nearly anywhere where a drain pipe and electrical outlet are located. Unfortunately, vent less dryers also have several problems associated with their operation procedures.
  2. Condensation
  3. Most vent less dryers use cold water coils to remove the heat from the dryer and then dispose of the water through the drain pipes. This can create condensation on and below the dryer. If too much condensation is present, water pools may form on the ground. This can cause mold and mildew to form. It is important to wipe up any visible condensation quickly and to only use vent less dryers on hard surfaces.
  4. Humidity
  5. Because of the way that vent less dryers work, the humidity in the drying room is always high. This humidity is caused by the presence of cold liquid combining with warm air from the dryer. The humidity can aggravate health problems in those sensitive to humidity. Air in the laundry room may feel sticky or constantly wet.
  6. Efficiency
  7. Although vent less dryers are more energy efficient, they have longer drying times than many vented drying systems. Most ventless dryers can dry only half of a normal washer load, which means that the dryer will run twice as often as a vented dryer. This cuts down on some of the energy efficiency that ventless dryers claim.
  8. Time Frame
  9. Vent lessdryers take a very long time to dry clothing. Some ventless dryers may take between 2 and 4 hours to dry a half load of clothes according to Natural Resources Canada. Because of this, it can take several days to wash a week worth of clothing.
  10. Usage
  11. Because of the long drying time, many vent less dryer manufacturers recommend that laundry be washed and dried daily rather than weekly.
  12. Hidden Costs
  13. Even though the energy costs for a vent less dryer are lower, there is a hidden cost to owning a vent less dryer. The vent less dryer takes tap water to distill the heat from the dryer. Water is used every time the dryer is operated. This will raise a homeowner's water bill.

Clothes not drying

Clothes not drying? Thats it? Does the dryer turn on at all? Does it tumble the clothes but doesn't get warm? If it turns on and tumbles but takes a long time to dry, then your heating element is not working. There is a thermal fuse right before the heating element that will open up if the vent becomes clogged and its gets too hot. The thermal fuse is not resettable and will have to be replaced. If the thermal fuse is o.k. then your heating element could be burned out. These two items almost require an electrical meter to read continuity to check them. Make sure the dryer is unplugged before checking these items.

Dryer gets hot but doesn't dry clothes

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have nottaken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then youneed to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should takeplace. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causesfor your dryer to fail.

No there is not a reset button on diswashers. I would suggest you take the heating element out and check it with an ohmmeter to see if that is the problem - which is the most probable cause. If it is open - infinity reading on the ohmmeter, then it is bad.

If it is good then, it would be the control board.

On my wet saw, model ws730 the water doesn't come down right so the blade stays dry

Readjust the water line so the blade stays wet at all times. If it is used dry that can cause the blade to get hot and warp it.

I assume that the water pumps is working properly. If not check the pump and the line so that you have a strang stream.

Dryer is hot when opened, but takes 3 or 4 timed cycles to get clothes dry on very dry setting and timed setting

Check for a restriction in exhaust system, not just behind unit but all the way to outside vent, should feel warm decent airflow at outside vent.If not all you will end up with is warm moist clothes,You need good airflow to take away the moisture in the clothes not just heat. This issue can happen slowly over time and next thing you know its taking two or three times longer to dry even though when you open the door its hot inside.
Good luck
