I have cyberlink youcam . it is already built into my laptop , but everytime i click on the youcam icon , the computer say no webcam detected . please help me ):

Hi,

Welcome to FixYa!

What type of computer do you have? A Desktop or a Laptop?

If you have a Laptop, please make sure that the webcam is enabled. Some Laptop have a feature to enable/disable the webcam (example: Lenovo [Press Fn+Esc to enable/disable the webcam]).

Try to reinstall the webcam driver using the drivers disc. If you don't have the drivers disc, you can download it from the computer / webcam manufacturer's web site (example: support.dell.com).

Try also to reinstall the cyberlink youcam software using the drivers disc or you can download it from the computer or webcam manufaturer 's website.

Hope that helps. Thank you for using FixYa.

I have cyberlink youcam installed on my laptop. My laptop has a built in webcam, but i got my computer how can you say, "cleaned", its were you send it in and they clear the system. But ever...

As I understand you can't use your webcam and you'd like to install Youcam . First you have to download webcam driver for your laptop. Go to your laptop manufacturers website and search exact model of your laptop. Usually you can find sticker with your model number at the bottom of your laptop. get drivers for your webcam from there and install them. If you have a CD with Youcam you can install it from there, if no you can get a free trial or buy a full version. Good luck!

Adjusting the lighting

Hi,

By default you will get a webcam software on your computer preinstalled. If you are unable to find the software, then you can instal HP provided free sopftware Cyberlink Youcam on the computer.

If you are using Windows Vista in the computer, you can download and install the Cyberlink webcam software from the following link:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp42501-43000/sp42568.exe

After installing the Youcam software you will get the webcam shortcut on the desktop.

Using youcam:

Or you can check directly "Adjusting webcam settings" if you are using youcam software already.

How to use webcam for my hp compaq CQ40

Since you did not give the specification of your laptop, I assume it came in with built-in webcam. First go to start and browse through All Programs for YouCam. If it is there, launch the program. If you do not have it on your program list, go to

www.cyberlink.com/products/youcam/overview_en_US.html

and download either the trial or the full version of the webcam software YouCam and install on your laptop. This should be able to activate your webcam.

Here you go; http://download.cyberlink.com/ftpdload/trial/CyberLink.1023_generic_YUC071008-01.exe Bear in mind, the download is 46MB I'm rather curious however, as the only Youcam I could find (Cyberlink), is a program, rather than an actual webcam. Are you sure the webcams model is a Youcam? or did you infact mean the program? If you did mean the webcam, you can find the drivers for your laptops webcam on the HP website; http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/pfinder?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=uk&query=presario%20700&dest_page=softwareCategory&tool=softwareCategory
