Take the batteries out and put them back in again. Make sure they are in correctly. Try the immobilizer again. If it still does not work, reverse the batteries and try again. If that doesn't work you may have to contact a Hyundai dealership for help.

Hello there , I'm not sure about Sonatas , if you have changed your battery or disconnected it , some vehicles like Fords around the 2000 year mark need to be calibrated , this may be achieved by turning your ignition on putting your tran in drive with your foot flat on the peddle and hold for 3 minutes and then turn ignition off and then back on with the car in park and no peddle , do not start car to do this just ignition on ! Good luck all so it may be cheaper to buy a work shop manual rather than taking your car to a work. Shop , best is - Haynes Work Shop Manual - Regards Graham ...

Cruise control just quit working on my 2011 hyandai sonata

there will be a cable from the cruise control that moves when the cruise controls the car. This cable is usually paralleled to the cable that the accelerator pedal moves. At the throttle control of the engine you will find these wire cables. If the cruise control cable is not oiled it can seize in the cable sleeve which might affect the accelerator pedal also.

I would like to buy an extra keyless remote fob for my 2003 hyandai sonata

go on ebay and do search, make sure they get a great consumer report rating for accurate, good working order parts, most of these come from california. On the back of your remote you will have model info and you will also need VIN # and year of vehicle

Flat battery caused immobiliser problems

1-insert and remove key from ignition two times

2-close and open driver door two times

3-insert and remove key once from ign.

4-close and open drvr door twice

5-insert key into ign.,then close driver door

6-turn key to on (not start) then off, twice this is rewrite mode, have all remotes to reprogram it will clear any lost remotes.

7-remove key from ignition, the door locks should cycle twice.if not start over.it may take a few tries.

8-press lock/unlock together and hold for a second

9-release,and press lock on remote, the door locks will cycle confirming program.continue to do other remotes you have, steps 8 and 9.if only one in possession, you are done. To end mode open door or insert key into ignition.

You'll need to follow the steps with no more than a 1-2 second delay between each step.. hope it works
