Describe your (ECS 915PL-A2) Motherboard Problem do not detect hard disk and dvd rider in the bios

1. Check if both drive data and power cables are correctly and tight fitted.
2. If both are fitted on PATA (IDE) on the same port/cable:
The harddisk should be the MASTER and DVD the SLAVE device.
3. Recheck.

4. If not OK, Power OFF the computer (also from the wall outlet).
5. Place the mainboard jumper for CMOS RESET to the other position for a few seconds and place it back.
6. Turn the computer Power ON and check.

Unrecognise SATA HARD DISC Mainboard : ECS G31T-M

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
hope this helps

Tower top mounted USB portss

The cables from the front panel USB connectors have a key in them that will line up with the missing pin on the board's USB headers. Just line up the connectors and plug them onto the board. It doesn't matter if you use USB1 on the board for the plug marked USB1.

Reseting...

Hi,

The reset jumper for an ECS P965T-A (V1.0) is J1 color red tag as "Clear CMOS Jumper" located near the Lithium memory battery. To reset, simply move the jumper temporarily to the opposite end/pair and revert back to original position soon as finished. pls refer to below image.

Alternately, removing the memory battery for a couple of minutes also reset the CMOS/BIOS configurations.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
