Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite M35-S320 that I want to revert back to the original factory settings.. The installation CD was never there ant the hidden partition is toast (probably due to my peoplesoft installation).. anyway, is there any way I can get back to to a clean slate? I contacted Toshiba and the response I got was "The recovery disk is no longer available for this laptop"... Thanks for any help

I have a Toshiba harmon/kardon model M35 S320. The screen is not too dark to see anything, but it looks as if it is set on dim...I cannot find a setting for the brightness. what can I do??

On the keyboard should be an fn button usually by the ctrl button.
At the top of the keyboard there should be a button that looks like a sun and has a arrow up or down.
Now combine the fn+the sun button.

Hope this helped.

Replacing M35-S359 motherboard with one from S320?

If the M35-S320 case is OK and the M35-S359 screen is OK and will fit the M35-S320 then I would swap the LCD screen lid and inverter over to the M35-S320 including the hard drive from the M35-S359.
It would be less work and with luck it might boot up, if not you might be able to do a system repair, worst case, you will need to reinstall Windows. Plus you have a spare drive from the M35-S320 which you can use as an external hard drive with an USB hard drive adapter case.
