I can understand your situation. When you say having problem in accessing files from sandisk player. Then first make sure that the device is in MTP or MSC mode. Normally if we want to access the files of MP3 through the computer it advised that it should be in MSC mode. So ensure that its in MSC mode. Then connect it to the computer.

If you want to know how to change the mode to MSC

Press MENU,
From there you can change from MTP or MSC mode.

Screen wont go past opening screen

Let's transform your device into a stable workhorse, and you'll have a great performing device.

You can load firmware version 01.02.24, the latest release, or 01.02.18, the predecessor, and you'll be happy with a bug-free machine.

You'll need to use Recovery Mode to load the two files that are downloaded from the above link:

Unzip these two files.

Now, for a repair from the Hebrew Beta version, you will need to RENAME these two files as:

Since I just had two coffees, here's how to load the two files:

Turn your e200v1 off.
Slide the HOLD switch to the right (orange showing).

Open a Windows Explorer window via My Computer or my favorite [Windows Key] + E.

Press and hold the REC button down while plugging in the Sansa.
The display will say "welcome to recovery mode" and the sansa will show up as a new icon 16MB FORMAT.

Double click on the 16MB FORMAT (reserved partition) to access it.

Drag and drop the RENAMED files into the partition.

Right click, and select Eject.
Slide the HOLD switch back to off.
Unplug your Sansa.

It will replace the previous firmware with the universal 01.02.24 version, and no more Lil' Monsta logo.

If you followed these steps, your music will STILL be there for you!

Enjoy your repaired device. From now on, you will use the firmware files with the original names, so you can rename these back to their original names for future use. The Hebrew version was a buggy mess, apparently.

Best of luck to you!!

Installing sansa lil monsta

That's okay, Sansa's are really drag & drop MP3 players. No installation is really needed. In fact, you can download the manual from the Sandisk website:

SanDisk Sansa m200

If you are just using windows explorer (my computer) to access the files on the player you might need to set your players usb mode to "MSC", if it is set to "MTP" then you will need to access the mp3 players files via a music management software like winamp or wmp.

How to music

Hi Lil. After you have saved your music to a file in your computer, (my music) or any other place you choose, simply plug the device into your computer. It will show up in My Computer as something like Sandisk Drive F. The letter could be anything. Now find your music files, if your not sure where they are, play them in your song list and right click on the song, select, Open File Location. A new screen will open, select Files at the top of the page so that you can see your music on one side of the screen and your computer files on the other side. Now find your Sandisk there, simply left click on a song file, holding the button down on the mouse, drag the music file over the screen to the Sandisk, let go of the mouse button and the file will drop into your device. Your all done, the song will now be in your device, happy listening and singing your favorite songs!

Blank White Screen - No Menu Showing

My Sansa has a similar problem. Sometimes when the Sansa turns on (after the Sandisk logo) the screen will either turn black, blue, or black and white stripes. The player still works, but it is hard to navigate without the screen, obviously. What I end up doing is letting the backlight turn off and then pressing any button. Sometimes when the screen comes back, the display is allright again. But sometimes it takes more than a few tries. Turning it off and on again seems to work a little better, but it is more time consuming.
