try formatting your player completely, then reinstall the firmware from scratch - another possibility is to remove windows media player (make sure you don't delete all your music files while doing this) and reinstall. If this doesn't help then it sounds as if the memory in the player could be faulty - check the warranty try a different cable and port to connect to in case that is the problem. There are numerous utilities that claim to repair windows registry errors, some of them may be worth a try - http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 gives the links for the best that i have found for free. try updating the firmware from another pc - ask a friend if you can use their machine and uninstall everything after, especially if you think the problem is with your wmplayer. Hope this helps :)

I have that kind of Mp3 Player too... that happened to me, but the PC was able to read mine. However, the reason why the message: "Low Battery USB Disabled" appears, is that you still have remaining battery life, but will only last for less than an hour (indicated by low light and red empty battery sign) you have to make sure the Mp3 is completely discharged. (you'll be notified when you turn on the device while it says: "Low Battery") once that it is completely discharged, you can now plug in the USB cable with the device to the PC... if problem persists, check your PC.. can it read the device? Check if a notification balloon appears at the bottom right corner of the monitor screen. It should say, "Found New Hardware... Samsung YP-Z5F..." if it did not appear, try to INSTALL using the Installation CD given when you bought the product. Just insert the disk into the PC and continue on, then when it is already installed and ready for use, plug in the device! This may be a little hard, but this is the only way I know. Feel free to ask me! I am no technician but I know a lot on devices and fine mechanics. Good luck!
