I can not get the internet to work. It was working, then I uninstalled McAfee, and downloaded the new version. Restarted, and voila- no more internet. I tried system rerstore to numerous older dates- no avail. set back to current date. noticed an issue with mini port driver on Marvel LAN, downloaded complete new drivers for the LAN, and still no internet, although all drivers now read as operating correctly. Recycled DSL modem, and no luck there (although other PCs on network do have access). still reading orange lights on back of PC. Please help.

Things they don't tell you

When installing the newest version of Adobe Flash Player, it will NOT automatically uninstall the old version.

If the old version is still there, the new version will not install.

After the file has fully downloaded, DOUBLE-click on it.
Click on Next, Next, and Finish.

Run the tool.
When finished restart your computer if not asked to do so.
Now go here,

McAfee bl-ows, and just slows your computer down anyway ]

I'm different. I use Mozilla Firefox. Don't care for Chrome, and sure don't care for Internet Explorer.

I have bought mcafee cd from the store and after i restarted the computer my computer freezes at the windows xp screen. how do i fix this?

Hi
I know this may sound childish but the answer right now is to remove Mcafee. Do this by going into SAFE mode. Press F8 while the computer is rebooting. Once at the SAFE menu select SAFE mode with networking. Once into SAFE mode goto START, Control Panel, Programs and Features. From there uninstall Mcafee. I had you go to the network mode because now you will need to download the Mcafee uninstall tool. This will remove the remaining pieces of Mcafee. Once all this is done go to normal mode and please check to make sure you don't have any other anti virus programs installed - these will definitely mess with Mcafee. If there are no other anti virus programs installed I have to assume it was a virus or malware that interfered with your Mcafee install. Unless you have them already I would suggest you download and then run these programs AVGFREE.exe, MALWAREBYTES.exe and SUPERANTISPYWARE.exe. You can download these from www.download.com. Once these are completed, we know your system is clean, now run the Mcafee install and everything should work fine. Good luck

McAfee 2010 will not work with my current version of Java

If McAfee 2010 is running fine. Uninstall java from the control panel and reinstall java from java.com. Java will then tell you if the software has loaded correctly.

McAfee Integrated Security Platform Installer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Not only Uninstalling & Reinstalling the McAfee Program would help, because usually you'd get this Error During the Installation. The Reason for this Error is because of the Windows Update (McAfee is Disigned on the Windows Platform).

Things that Needs to be checked here are:

1. Update Windows:
- Open IE (Internet Explorer).
- Click on the TOOLS or SAFETY (If the IE version is IE v.8).
- Select Windows Update.
- Ensure that All Windows Updates are Installed on the Computer.

2. Installing MSXML 3 & 4:
- Check if you already have MSXMLs installed on your Computer by going to START >> CONTROL PANEL >> ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS or PROGRAMS >> PROGRAMS & FEATURES (In Case of Windows Vista/7).
- If you find MSXMLs, Uninstall them & then Restart the Computer.
- Download and Reinstall MSXML version 3 (MSXML3.msi only).
- Restart the computer.
- Download and install MSXML version 4 (MSXML.msi only).
- Restart the computer.
- Run McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe) from http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe
- Reinstall the McAfee Program.

Thank You!
