Question about Vehicle Parts & Accessories

1 Answer

I own a 2006 Chevy Malibu LT. 4cyl. 4 door if it matters. NOT THE MAXX! (supposed to state that, from what I'm told.) CD player doesn't recognize disks and spits them out. ...dealer said burnt media sucks the lifespan out of the stock stereo. It turns out from documentation they're right, there's a lifespan that's preset and the stereo dies if you play too many burnt or non-silverback CD's. I finally purchased an aftermarket CD player, as I'm tired of going insane with no music. I've been told to be careful when trying to get it installed. (also, to watch out for NON- Malibu Maxx kits. I don't believe I need any special mounting brackets or anything else of the sort, as it should fit the bay just fine. It's a Pioneer DEH-1300MP. Isn't this a case of removing that all-in-one (air conditioner/heat controls + stereo + etc. panel cover) to access the innards of the stereo, removing the deck, then swapping it out for the new one, or is there going to be some re-wiring? I didn't buy or want aftermarket speakers, woofers or any of that other stuff. THANKS.

Hi, my CD player is busted in my 2006 Malibu Maxx LT V6. My CD player won't eject the current cd I have in it, but is still capable of playing the stuck CD. Is there anyway I can get it out?

i have the same problem!!! what i do is press eject i put the key in the cd slot and turn it sideways....and then a pair of tweezers easily fits in there and you can get it out. then to play a new one you have to put the cd in and press down on it with your ever so handy chevy key!!!

Stuck CD in the multi CD player of 2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx

The only thing that is left for you to do is to remove the stereo and then disassemble it and remove it yourself. A little daunting but needs to be done. Sounds like it went in wrong and then became jammed
