Question about Zenith IQD61W35 61 in. Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Tv problem I just need to know how so I can fix my tv,(Zenith IQD61W35 61 in. RearProjection) Currently I see a blue shadow, and sometimes yellow behind figures on the tv. This only happens on the top and right. For some reason it works perfect in the bottom left corner. Anyways A repairman said that all the hardware looks good, but I just need to access this grid and realign some settings.

Yes u need to go in to the menu where it says source and go to the convergence use the right arrow on your remote control it is a round ball u will come to a xross on the screen if the xross is nice and white in the center of the screen then u do nothing at that piont but if it is not hit your ratio button on the remote and your screen will change colors if it is green looking u can set the red lind if it is blue then u can set the blue line just read what it tells u on the screen to do.when u are done in the mode hit the round ball in the center and u can do all the x on the screen just find but please look at what it is telling u what to do on the screen i hope this will help it is very easy to set the convergance on the model set

Usually means a magnet had been to close to the TV. They will cause color lines. Either from someone (maybe a kid) potting a magnet against it or from having two electronics to close to each other

The convergence IC's are definitely bad. This is not something you can fix yourself unless you know how to solder and are technically inclined.

Yellow verticle bar and blue/yelloe shadowing

You will most definately need to have the convergance realigned... This is a normal thing with projection T.V.s Some T.V.s have a button to push that will allow you to get them somewhat back into alignment but a T.V. pro will need to do the convergance on it if that wont fix it. Hope this helps you out

Blue shadows/ghosts

how old is the tv ??
if this tv is older than 5 years it may need to refill the liquid on the proyection bulbs and/or could have contaminats in the fluid causing the ghost and to fix that you will need a professional person to do it
