Question about Dell Computers & Internet

I have a Dell Dimension E520 desktop machine. I am having problems with the switch on button. I have to try starting the machine between 5 and 20 times before it boots up. What can I do and is it fixable?

Please have the switch button changed as it is not making contact when you press it. Contact your local Dell service provider and have it fixed up.

Is this a recent occurance? Try a System restore. Have you done ANY Driver updates? Any updates at all? Added any hardware? When you boot to safe mode it only loads minimal drivers.

Check whether you have muted the audio by using the keyboard hot keys.

I mean if you are using multimedia keyboard then there will be a button to enable/disable audio or mute/unmute audio. try pressing that again.

    try updating the drivers to the card to see what happens. another solution is try it on another computer. if the same problem exists on another computer you could have a bad card.

    Try the drive in another computer. If this is happening at the bootup process, the drive may have failed or the cable may be bad. Also check the BIOS settibg s to make sure the drive is setup properly.

    hmm..try check your bios...look at your cpu performance or shuting down temperature...maybe u can disabled shutdown temperature at your bios...or make default setting cmos setup..try that

    E520 has 2 usb ports on the front right where the card readers are. It also has 5 (Five) on the back right where your ethernet cable hooks in.

    Having a full D Drive will not cause Vista to crash. If you need to free up space then get an external hard drive to move files off of your machine.
