My laptop is telling me the settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network. But, yesterday it was working fine.

okay what you do is go to start documents and copy this to the address bar "Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center" after you do that click on manage wireless networks on the side now click on your internet profile and hit delete after its deleted search and find you internet and set it up again

In your laptop Open Control Panel > Network internet > Network and Sharing Center > Set up new connection or network > match with setting in your PC > Finish. Try to reconnect.

1.Log into router
2. Verify wireless router name( on the computer) >>> ( on/off)
3.Note router name you are connecting to.
4.. Check the laptop do ipconfig /all to see current IP addresses.
5. Set the laptop up in the router by WEP KEY or MAC address.
6.Note router name you are connecting to.
7. Move the laptop about 20ft away and try to log on to the internet.
This is for all routers to set up wirelessly.

You need to remove the wireless network from your preferred networks list and reconnect to it.

1. Right click on the wireless icon (picture of a computer) on your system tray.
2. Click on Network and Sharing Center.
3. On the upper left hand side of the page , click on Manage Wireless Networks
4. Right click on you network name and click Remove/delete
5. Now reconnect to your network.

After we turn the computer on it is telling us that the "the settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network"


This may work for you. This is for Vista

Under network & sharing center ...... go to manage wireless network ...... Configure the wireless settings manually .....try to connect to network ......

Laptop doesn't work with wireless router


in the OS issue try to remove the ip address of your computer network...let the router find the ip address suitable for the network ip...
in the router issue...try to reset and reconfigure the router.it will be reset in the factory settings..all will be renewed....

there are 2 option to fix your problem..if not solve try to send message again..tnx

I cant get the laptop to connect to a wireless router. message comes up saying settings saved on this computer for the network does not match the requirements of the network. but it does not tell me how to...


Try checking if the laptop's wireless button is switched to on. It helps a lot! On my laptop, you have to switch a button to turn the wireless on. If i don't it's impossible to get a connect.

Your security key has perhaps changed.

You will need to check this key entered into your laptop against what is entered into the router.
