This could be caused in a power surge resetting the next door's wifi modem or it could be that your neighbors just decided to put up a security password and unless you are an expert hacker, there's no solution for free wifi. sorry

I get an error code of 51330 while trying to connect my system to the internet?

For future reference, please include what system the error is for please? I hate to look up error codes to find your system: The Nintendo Wii.

1) Please make sure your router/modem is using 802.11g and 802.11b. It's not compatible with N, unless it's a Wii-U.
2) Make sure the Security Setting on the Wii and router are set to WPA2 - PSK (AES) and test your Internet connection again. The Wii may not work with some other security types.

I keep getting error code: 51330 when trying to connect wirelessly to the internet.

This was the information on error code 51330 on Nintendo.com

Error Code: 51330
Unable to connect to your wireless network

Likely cause: It appears that the password (also known as a WPA or WEP key) entered into the Wii console is not the same as what your wireless router is set to allow.

How to fix: Make sure the password is entered into the Wii exactly as it appears in your router's settings. Security keys are case sensitive.

Don't know how to find your router's password?

Look for a sticker on the bottom of your router. Many routers provided by Internet service providers have their default password located on a sticker on the bottom of the router.

Error code 51330 trying 2 connect 2 internet by wireless tds SSID#D2VT9

Hello!
The usual cause of error code 51330 appears to be that the password (also known as a WPA or WEP key) entered into the Wii console is not the same as what your wireless router is set to allow.

This is how to fix it:

Make sure the password is entered into the Wii exactly as it appears in your router's settings. Security keys are case sensitive.

If this does not work, I would suggest doing a power cycle of your modem and router. This is done by following these steps:
  • Unplug both the modem and the router from the power outlet.
  • Wait a few minutes, and plug the modem back in.
  • Wait a couple of minutes for the modem to initialize, then plug in the router.
  • Try to connect the Wii, Nintendo DS, or Nintendo 3DS online and test for proper response

I keep trying to connect my wii to the Internet but it always says error code:51330

This error code points to your security settings for you Wii system. They probably don't match up with the settings for your router.
1) Check your router's security settings and make sure that the settings you have entered for your Wii system are EXACTLY the same.
2) After you have double checked and changed any settings as applicable, try restarting your system and logging on to the internet again.
3) If this doesn't work, try cycling your modem and router by unplugging them both, then plug in the modem for a few minutes, then plugging in the router after. This should refresh your home network.
4) If the problem still persists, try creating a new connection on your Wii with the proper settings, making sure that everything you enter is correct for your router.

I cannot get my wii to connect to my wireless internet. Ikeep getting errors codes such as 51330

The error code 51330 means that the WiFi cannot get through to your Wii because of the security system you currently have installed on your router. WEP encrypted WiFi routers cannot connect with your Wii properly. To save you some time, I've found the exact link where Nintendo troubleshooting gives you detailed instructions in fixing this problem and getting your Wii to connect to your WiFi.

Trying to connect my wii to the internet, am puttin my password in and its giving me an error code 51330

Error Code: 51330 This error code usually indicates a problem relating to wireless security. Please try the following troubleshooting:
  1. Are you using WEP or WPA security on your router?
    1. Log into the router using the default IP (consult your router's manual for assistance)
    2. Locate the "wireless security" section of your router settings and find the WEP or WPA key.
    3. If you are using 64-bit encryption, the WEP Key must be a 10-character key consisting of numbers or letters A through F.
    4. If you are using 128-bit encryption, the WEP Key must be a 26-character key consisting of numbers or letters A through F.
    5. The WEP Key must be a Hexadecimal (0-9, A-F, no other special characters or letters).
    6. If your router has multiple slots for a WEP Key, make sure the active key is the one in the #1 slot.
    7. If you are using WPA, the Wii console is compatible with the following types:
      • WPA - PSK (TKIP)
      • WPA - PSK (AES)
      • WPA2 - PSK (AES)

  2. If your WEP or WPA key is correct, then the problem might be related to MAC address filtering:
    1. From the router settings, locate the "MAC address filter" settings (also known as "access control", "access list", or "network filter" depending on your router model).
    2. If the Mac address filter is set to "enabled", then you must add the Wii's MAC address to the "allowed" list. You can locate the Wii's MAC address from the "console information" page (located under "Internet" in the Wii Settings).
    3. If the Mac address filter was disabled, then continue troubleshooting.

  3. Check Nintendo's router info for special notes, if available, for your router.
    1. Click here to go to our Wireless Router lookup page.
    2. Use the drop-down box to select, if available, your router manufacturer.
    3. Click on your router's model number, if available.
    4. Read any "special notes" at the top of the router's page. Many issues can be solved by changing settings described in the "special notes."

  4. Try a "Manual Setup" with the Wii console (how to), using your network's IP configuration settings. To access these settings:
    1. On your PC, click "Start" and then "Run."
    2. Type "CMD" into the field that appears to open a new window.
    3. Type "IPCONFIG/ALL" and press "Enter" to display a list of internet settings. Locate the settings asked for by the Wii console during the Manual Setup process and enter them.

  5. Power cycle your router and modem by unplugging them both from the wall. Wait a few minutes, and plug the modem back in. Wait a couple of minutes for the modem to initialize, then turn on the router. Try to connect the Wii console online and test for proper response.

Error 51330 on nintendo wii siemens gigaset se587 wlan used.

hi

i have just solved this problem on the SE 587, hope it works for you.

1) in internet explorer type 192.168.1.1, which should bring up your router settings - then select "wireless" and then "basic wireless settings" - under "auto channel" set it to "disable" and the set "wireless channel" to "1" , then "save settings" - my pc briefly went offline and quickly came back.

2) when setting up the connection on the wii you need the code from the bottom of the router - make sure you have "caps lock" ON on the wii when you set up.

3) now everything works perfectly on the wii - you dont even need the pc on! just the router.

good luck, IAN.
