We just purchased a Samsung TV, and have been using a RCA DVD/VCR player/recorder, Model#: DRC8295N, Serial#: XXXXXXXXX We have Direct TV and before the new tv was using one of their DVR player/recorders....

The problem with your DVD/VCR is that when you hooked up your new TV you probably removed the power cord for the DVD/VCR during installing and running your new wires and such.

Your DVD/VCR has known problems in the power supply. This is very common. When unplugged, this allowed the capacitors to discharge and now wont work at all. It is very possible that if you left your DVD/VCR plugged into the AC wall socket it might begin to work after a couple of days. I wouldn't plan on it though.

Your DVD/VCR will need power supply repairs. The cost should be around $100 dollars.
if you would like one of our stores to repair this for you we would be happy.

please visit http:www.albiontvandcomputer.com
You can send us the unit and we can repair this for you and return in about a week.

Phillips dvdplayervideorecorder connect w/zinwell converter box

First off get the TV on the right channel. It will either be ch3 or ch4. If you are using a cable box the dvd/vcr combo will have to be on ch3 or ch4 as well. OK, Make sure the input connector on the combo is hooked to the output connector of the cable box and the output connector of the combo is hooked to the input connector of the tv. Deal with one part at a time. First hook the combo to the tv and get the tv on the right channel (ch3 or ch4) so that you can see a pre-recorded dvd or video play. Then you will know what channel the tv is supposed to be on. When you find it don't bother the tv channel any more. Stop the dvd or video and hook up the cable box and turn on the cable box and set the box to a known good channel. Now put the combo on ch3 or ch4 with the combo's channel selector buttons until you see the cable box playing on the tv (remember you already set up the tv channel). Change channels on the box but don't bother the channels on the tv or combo anymore. You can put the box on whatever channel you want. The box will be your channel selector. I certainly hope that this helps. I know it can be confusing but don't give up. Just remember that the tv and combo have to always be on ch3 or ch4 (which ever one you found before). Good luck and thanks.

How do I hook my data projector up to my cable TV?

If the TV offers video and audio outputs, you can connect those to the projector. Otherwise you'll need to use a VCR or DVR as the source. In fact, you don't need a TV set at all if the VCR/DVR you use has TV tuning. Hook the video to the projector, run the audio through your stereo system and you're set.

My hdtv is hooked up to a dvr and now I want to hook up a dvd/vcr to it. How do you do that

1st off make sure that the dvd/vcr is hd compatible and if it is then connect the component cables to the input of the dvd/vcr and from the dvd/vcr output connect to tv. easy!! the only thing you wont be able to use as or in hd is the vcr portion of it.

I can't hook it back up

Is your DVD player a DVD/VCR combo? If so, hook the "tv out" (sometimes called "ant out" ) to the "ant in" on the DVD/VCR, then hook the "ant out" of the DVD/VCR to the "ant in" on the tv. Then make sure the DVD/VCR and TV are on the appropriate channel (3 or 4).
If it's NOT a combo, or these instructions don't work for you, i will need pictures of the inputs/outputs of the devices.

Connect the "Out to TV"video and audio on the DVR box to the "Video in and Audio In" on the VCR ...unless it's a single screw type connector on the DVR then hook THAT to the "In from ANT/cable" on the VCR
