Question about HP OfficeJet 7310 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

My family has 3 wireless laptops and I would like to make my hp 7310 all-in-one printer wireless, so that all laptops are able to use it. What do I need to accomplish this? A printer adapter, a print server? Thank you!! Christine

One computer will be the main computer for the printer. Then you will have to select SHARE from that computer for that printer. You may also need to configure the printer to look for/allow connection to these other laptops (the same way you configured it the first time).

Go to your START button, then PRINTERS (or Printers in the Control Panel). Right click on the printer and select Properties. There should be a sharing tab or option there.

Good luck!!

How do I set up a wireless printer. I am on a wireless network now. How do I make my printer wireless??

The HP Officejet 7310 has an optional bluetooth wireless adapter. If you purchased the option, you will need bluetooth connectivity at your computer end. Alternatively, you could purchase a third party wireless adapter.
Other than that, you will need to connect your printer to your router/wireless network then all computers will be able to print wirelessly to it through the router.
Hope this helps.

If this problem arises check for updated printer drivers, compatibility between your wireless printer and Windows Vista and firewall settings. All or any of this could prevent your HP wireless printer from printing documents. Setting up wireless printers is very easy; however, sometimes certain settings can create hassles for you.

Wireless printing impossible . How can I solve it?

Hi Paul,

Am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your printer is not a wireless printer by default. If you would like to be able to print wirelessly and have a bluetooth connection on your laptop/desktop, you have the option of buying an adapter.

The HP bt300 wireless printer adapter uses Bluetooth wireless technology allowing you to print without using a cable. In general, Bluetooth wireless technology is a short range wireless technology that allows connection between devices without requiring a cable. By using your HP bt300, printing is possible from a camera phone, PDA, digital camera, or computer (currently to a computer using the Windows operating system only) to selected HP printers.

Unfortunately, this adapter runs about 145-153$ not including shipping or handling. Am probably giving myself a two star rating by saying this, but your best bet might be to just purchase a wireless printer. I have a wireless 3-in-1 (scan/fax/print) that I bought for about 120$ and it works like a dream. Check out your local Office Depot or Best Buy and take a look.

Hope this helps!

Problems connecting to printer

The Officejet 7310 does not have wireless capability, this was a feature for the Officejet 7410. If your 7310 is connected via wired LAN to a wireless router but the computer does not find it try assigning an IP address manually. Make sure the IP address for the printer is on the same subnet as your laptop or other wireless devices.

Also, if you are using Vista the original drivers will not work, you will need to download updated drivers from HP's website here.
