Try booting in safe mode and scann for viruses, if in safe mode the problem is the same, open the computer to verify for wsollen capacitors (small aluminium round cans with a plastic shrink usually all around the CPU) the top are suppose to be flat not about to burst or rounded if it's the case you wil have to change the system board, verify the power supply as well.

Good luck!

Hmmm.. not sure at what point it's cycling back to reboot...

Pull the plug in the sequence and see if it asks you how to boot after an unexpected stop. Got to SAFE mode then reboot.

You might try to boot to the OS CD, and do a re-install/choose Repair, which should only copy system files and leave yours intact. (make sure you're looking at REPAIR, and not an actual full re-install.. your data should still be there but you'll have a fresh OS with no other programs you've installed).

Good luck!

These models have a history of issues with the main board. If you are comfortable with opening the case, check the capacitors near the processor unit. They look like little batteries on the main board. If they appear swollen or have orange foamy material coming from them, then they are blown and your main board needs to be replaced. Dell was doing this free of charge, but I'm not sure if they still are.
Hopefully this helps a bit. If it's not the capacitors, let me know.

Nokia e52 restart problem

in what way do you have problem with restart?
did you make restart to default configuration? or just restart?
one way is to take battery out, wait for a short while, then reinsert and restart - if that does not help, then I suggest trying to reset it to default settings -- if phone does not restart at all, then try with another battery - if still not restarting, then try with another simcard - and if STILL not restarting, try bying another phone :-)

Automatic Restart? Are you trying to Start Automatic Restart or Stop Automatic Restart?

If you have having boot problems and the system keeps restarting, then turn off the computer, then hit the power button and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Scroll down past Safe Mode and you will see an option to DISABLE AUTOMATIC RESTART. Take the Disable Automatic Restart option.

My HTC Diamond restart and restart and restart....

It might be something you have installed. I think the fastest way to get rid of such a situation is to perform a hard reset. You must know that you'll loose all your personal data, and how to do a hard reset, but here I go, anyway. There two ways to hard reset your Diamond.
Software way: Go to 'Start > Settings > System tab > Memory > Clear Storage tab', enter password '1234' and tap OK.
Hardware way: Turn your device off. Then, press and hold the ENTER key. Whilst keeping this key pressed, briefly press the POWER button. Release the ENTER key when a waring screen comes up. Then, press the VOLUME UP button to hard reset your device, or any other key to cancel the hard reset procedure.
Hope you are able to sort your problems out.
Cheers! Carlos

Help my hp dv2000 just keeps restarting??

Hi,

As the computer is working in safe mode, it is clear that operating system files are corrupt.

Perform a repair installation, if it is Windows XP.

For Vista or Windows 7, you can perform system restore from recovery console. To launch recovery console, insert the disc- restart the computer and boot into the disc. Choose repair in the options tab, then choose system restore from the list.

Nags
