Question about Computers & Internet
You are required to have some kind of storage device to reset the password. Couple of questions, are you the administrator on the computer and what operating system are you using?

It's looking for a disc or device you've previously setup security with... in this case you don't have that or you'd know what it was asking for.
You may be in for a reformat/reinstall of software on your machine if you can't remember the password. Acer or Microsoft aren't likely to tell you how to get around the password, for obvious reasons, but you might try it and see if they have another undocumented option you might try.

1. If you enter the wrong password when you attempt to log on, Windows displays a message that the password is incorrect. Click OK to close the message.
2. Click Reset password, and then insert your windows password reset disk (or other removable media).
3. Follow the steps in the Password Reset Wizard to create a new password.
4. Log on with the new password. If you forget your password again, you can use the same password reset disk. You don't need to make a new one.
Solution 2: Reset (recover) windows password with password software.Steps as below:
Step 1: Download and install Windows Password Reset.
Step 2: Create a CD/DVD or USB password reset boot disk with SWPR.
Step 3: Boot your computer from password reset boot disk.
Step 4: Recover the forgotten password for administrator account.

during the boot up process you will see on the screen for a short amount of time press a certain key to enter set up
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS scroll down to set user password or supervisor password you can change or remove your password from there
control panel user accounts
on the users tab,click the name of the computer administrator you can change the password there
