Do your memory and sound work,moe3 and rosspeters?
if not,its a problem with the memory/sound/wifi circuit board.
if they work,it may be your antenna that is malfunctioning.
you probably will need to replace those,so be prepared to spend around $20.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

A connection error has occured the attempt to obtain the ip address timed out

Hello.

It appears you are not receiving communication between your system and the router.

You may try going into system settings and ensuring that your network connection is enabled,
and moving closer to the access point or router may help as well.

I hope this solves your problem.

Sincerely,

Frankie

Psp internet doesn't work.

Try power cycling (turning everything off for about a minute) and connecting again.

Connection error

Error code : (80410418)
- The PSP is unable to obtain IP address.
+ Check your router's firewall if its blocking the PSP.
+ Turn off the proxy in the PSP.

Check those and tell me whether still the problem exists

Connection error

there may be a problem with the wireless router, not the actual PSP, try resetting the router by either pressing reset on the back of the router or unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it back in

Connection error

Something is wrong with the Encryption and or Security key setting for the connection. You need to match the Routers Security key. Go to your Routers setup page to find out the exact settings. Setup a new connection with the known Security settings. It should establish a IP address then.

Cannot Use Wireless LAN

the problem is common, you need to set up the psp manually and not let it obtain an ip address automatically. the easiest way is to find either your router ip address or your pc's ip address e.g if your routers ip address is 192.168.2.1, then your pc's allocated address will be 192.168.2.2, so set your psp address to 192.168.2.3. you will also need to set the gateway address, this is your routers ip address(the one you type in your browser to get into the routers settings).e.g 192.168.2.1. the DNS setting will be 255.255.255.0, all other address settings required will be the routers ip address eg 192.168.2.1.
