Our sharper image steamer was working just fine for over a year and tonight it stopped heating up. It turns on but will not heat up. Any suggestions?

I examined mine. There is literally NO hole in the steam wand for the steam to exit. It's a wonder the thing didn't blow up. Take it back and be glad you still have your face.

A couple of months old. this steamer no longer heats. The switch lights up, there is power, but no heat

Must have to check the resistance of the coil, if open resistance, the coil is damaged. I think you are in warranty period and must check with the dealer for a replacement.

Before you open the set call up as sometimes the warranty lapses if the seal is broken.

Problem fixed itself. Turned off for couple of hours so unit can cool down completely and when I turned it back on it started working again.
