Motor has normal speed responce, but a lack of power, it is very easy to stall the motor, max outbut from the pc unit is 90vdc, no mechanical binds in the system, motor brushes are in good condition, with very minimal arcing.

It is a 90vdc motor, at max speed the controller is giving it 90 vdc, it runs up to normal full speed, but stalls with any load at all.

I've replaced the power supply, the old supply topped out at 84v, on the new supply, I adjusted the max down from 104v to 90v. symptoms remained the same, I don't have a means to check the current draw, but I assume than it doesn't go too high immediatly because the motor doesn't get hot quickly or smell like a hot motor. the brushes look good and have very minimal arcing. been there, done that. The motor runs the belt up to speed with no load, but step on the belt or grab ahold of it, and the motor rapidly dies. I'm about to give up and buy a new motor, or see if I can barrow one somewhere. thanks Tom

The problem is obviously the motor being weak. It has normal speed response but the output torque is weak. Let it be known that a DC motor uses a pair of strong magnets as field stator and an armature windings in the rotor. The motor's output torque is directly proportional to both the magnetic field strength of the field magnets and the current passing through the armature windings. Since the power supply is known to be good, the issue here is that either the field magnets has weaken or the armature windings has an increased resistance that reduced the current draw. In either case, the only viable solution is replacing the motor.

Is the motor weak or is it just hard to turn the belt?

Possible fault in the power supply unit. since you have not mentioned the details of the make/model the threshold voltage of the power supply is not specified. Now note the voltage mentioned on the motor, if the voltage is higher then the supply to the controller unit must be checked as this can be lower than the specification. If so the power supply must be checked for fault as the reduced +B is not enough to drive the motor.
If the controller unit is able to regulate the voltage from the threshold of 90Volts then the fault can be ONLY the lower +B.
hence check the power supply to confirm.

Make sure that the mechanics are clean. the drives and movements are free from any friction. Try running the motor without the load and check the torque.

Hello, do you mean 9volts? Most treadmils run at 12 volts. The controler supplies the needed voltage under all load conditions, when the motor is loaded, the controler supplies more or less voltage to maintain the speed.

It sounds like you dont have full voltage, the controler would be the blame. Either the console is not requesting the top speed, or the controler is not keeping up.

Hope this was helpful.

Transmission

A/T or M/T (auto or stick ,we dont know)
n moving in drive, reverse or Low or 1? or 2? (me too lazy to look what tranny you have)
it can be 2 things
1: lack of engine power
2: bad clutch or transmission

who do we tell? easy
you step on gas , RPM goes way high and MPH dont. (slips)
tranny slip.
you step on gas, RPM tracks with MPH, good ,
you then do the 5second max. tranny stall test in every car FSM made. and see the stall speed, with brakes hard set.
too high is tranny slip
way to low, engine power POOR.

alldata.com has all this on tranny. stall speed.
the FSM turn to on car A/T service, see STALL test.
bingo.
or youtube the vast number of videos on topic, stall.

wont move at all ,can be :
brake drag (passes stall test)
but first , the tests are, for bad engine or trans,
pick the one it is , state so, and we can go much farther.

Golden compass power chair

Each wheel is run by a separate motor. This looks like either bad controller box, or bad motor. If it starts out working fine, then the one wheel stops after a short period of time, then it is probably a controller at fault. However if the motor is overheating due to mechanical binding such as a brake failure (the parking brake) or lacks lubrication causing excess power consumpltion, then the controller will shut down at some poiunt to avoid damaging itself and/or the motor. have a helper put the chair up on cememnt blocks, or woodne boxes etc, so you can observe it running. Listyen to the motor by doing left full and right full turns. The motors should be equally quiet and run at the exact same speeds. Dragging noises indicate a problem. be sure your parking brakes are disengaged. Now with the chair off, rotate eaach wheel by hand. They should need the same amount of force to move. if the bad wheel is harder to turn then it may need replacing or has bad brushes, brakes binding or in most cases dried up grease in the gearbox.

My engine shakes with smell of rooten egg

if it shakes and smells of rotten eggs, then the catylitic convertor is bad. driveability symtoms are--- lack of power, drop in fuel economy, lack of high speed power, rough idle or stalling are the symtoms of excessive back pressure. due to a plugged up convertor. it should be diagnosed by a mechanic to verify this.

After oven turned on for normal baking it starts to hum rather than typical noise from exhaust fan.

If you're not hearing the fan turn at its normal speed, it is possible that your fan motor has become stalled. AC motors will often hum or buzz when they can no longer turn but still have power applied to them. This could be due to bad bearings, or a blockage of some sort. It's probably not easy to get to, but if you can hand check the fan it should spin quite freely. Be sure to unplug the unit before messing with the insides, or shut of its circuit breaker if it's a built-in unit.

No lights or responce (power issue)

If you do not see fuses on the smaller pc board, next to the main PC board, underneath the turntable platter, then you don't have any. Not all 1200s series turntables have these fuses. So, that means you more than likely blew the Technics power supply / transformer.

Not an easy fix, and I don't recommend you do this, as seeing how you did not replace the pop-up light correctly, it seems you lack the experience. When you saw that spark, that means that you did not shield the pop-up light wires properly, a big mistake. It more than likely touched the cabinet, and created a short - very common. This short is enough to take out he power supply.

You will have to take your unit to an authorized repair center for repair.

Good Luck!

Shuts off on high speeds

Check for mechanical binding or lack of lubrication. If the circuit breakers have been tripping for some time they will become fatigued and will need to be replaced because they will start tripping at a lower current that they are rated for.
