Hi Friend, In this case I would recommend you to please first of all unplug all the wired connections from the back of the system even the connection from the monitor to cabinet. Now press and hold the power button of the cabinet for 30 seconds and replug all the connections back again. Restart the system.
If it still doesn't work then check if you are getting any spinning sound of hard drive so as to check if the internal components are working fine.
Also connect any external monitor to the cabinet and check if you have the same issue with the external one as well?
Please let me know if it was of any help?

When i plug in my Gateway FPD1975W TFT LCD Monitor, the screen stays black and the power button blinks. This goes on for hours without doing anything else. Suggestions?

If you have this connected to a computer and it happens, make sure the fault is not with the graphics card or port first. Test the monitor on another computer or laptop. Test and check the VGA cable.
If this is not the problem (ie the monitor will not work on another computer and another monitor will work on your computer), you are probebly having power capacitor problems and the monitor needs replacing.

I accidently hit the power button on the monitor and it will not power back up. Any suggestions?

You would need to power cycle your monitor. You can do this by unplugging it from the wall for 30 seconds. Than plug it back into the wall and press the power button.

Gateway monitor fpd2185w goes to sleep and then shuts off

I suggest to mess around with the monitor buttons and see if you can disable it from sleeping from there. If not then try enabling it to sleep on your computer settings. A good restart after any changes is always helpful.

Gateway FPD2275W Monitor not working

did you try the fuse. chances are the power supply is at fault but if the spike of voltage was sufficient enough it may have taken out the fuse first.
Warning: If you dont feel comfortable around electronics Do Not Attempt to remove the case from your monitor as HIGH VOLTAGE is present even after the unit has been turned off for a long, long time.
The other option is to find a local repair shop in your neighborhood which will give free estimates. Dont take it somewhere where they'll hit you up with a fee to look at it.
