I had success with this tutorial
How to recover deleted photos from Camera

You'd better remove the memory card from camera, and connect the memory card to computer with a card reader, and then follow above tutorial to perform photo recovery.

If a file has actually been "overwritten" and not just "deleted" then no your photos are toast. Had they been deleted you may of had a chance. However you might want to attempt to use a program such as Tenorshare Data Recovery and try and retrieve pictures . I doubt it will find anything that is actually recoverable but it never hurts to try.

Well, yes taking the card out of your camera and connect it to your PC or Mac. Chances of recovery can be high as long as you act as soon as possible and stop using the camera to take more photos or videos or saving more data to the camera memory card. Then you can find some tested and reliable program from this site Digital Camera Data Recovery. Here are the steps you may follow.
1. Connect your camera (memory card) PC or Mac which has installed the recovery program.
2. Scan for the lost files (photos, videos etc).
3. Recover them.
Learn more about the tutorial from this article: recover photos from camera.
Hope this helps, best regards.

Have you saved all these photos on the inner memory card of this digital camera?
If you have not, you can try my steps to see whether your photos are recoverable:
Step1. Stop using this camera in case that any new file would rewrite your original photos.
Step2. Insert this camera to your computer and prepare to restore your photos.
Step3. Download a photo recovery freeware to your computer and start to retrieve all your deleted photos back:
http://www.4cardrecovery.com/
In fact, this freeware has ever successfully saved all the inaccessible data of my friend off from his camera. So, I believe it can also work successfully on your camera memory card, too.
Simply download this freeware here:
http://www.freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/02/photo-recovery.html
Step4. Save and back up all the restored photos on a different memory card or drive in case of data recovery failure.
Note: Next time, you'd better back up all your important photos on different memory cards or drives in case of the similar data recovery problems.

Photos have been lost from my digital camera

Hi-

If you have accidentally deleted the photos then chances are you cannot recover it, but if you have a backup save on the memory card you can try loading the card to an adapter to your computer and check if there are backup files on it. Try backing the photos by uploading it to your computer next time ok?

Thanks for using Fixya!

Take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones. Note that you may need to use the corrupted card procedures listed in the article.
Once you've recovered your photos, you'll need to format the card in your camera, using the camera's format feature (look for it in the camera's menus). This will rejuvenate the card, but will also erase it, so only do such after recovering, or as per the corrupted card procedures of the above link. And in the future, do not use your memory card for long term storage, as they are prone to corrupt as you've discovered. Instead regularly save and backup your photos using your computer.

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

Now AFTER you've recovered your photos, you'll need to format your card IN YOUR CAMERA using your camera's built-in format feature. This will rejuvenate the card, and will prevent this from happening again (bet you never formatted the card when you first got it?). Formatting the card when first used is necessary to preserve the card's file structure. It may work fine at first if not formatted, but in nearly all cases it will corrupt with time if it wasn't formatted. Note that formatting will also erase the card, so again format only after you've recovered and saved your photos onto your computer.

In this case you should try some photo recovery software to see if you can recover the lost photos, here are some programs you may rely on. Both programs can also recover videos and music.

Photo Recovery Software (for Windows)
Mac Photo Recovery Software (for Mac OS X)

Note: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the Olympus memory card in case the original files(your photos) are overwritten.

Well, no matter you photos in Canon camera got deleted, formatted by accident or became inaccessible due to camera memory card errors. Chances of recovery is possible as long as you take the right action.

Take a try of this software to recover Canon photos, Not only general photo formats, but Canon RAW photo formats (.cr2 or .crw) can be retrieved easily.

Note: before the photos are recovered, Never should you attempt to take more photos or save more data to the memory card in case chances of photo recovery might be reduced. Hope it helps. Regards.
