Question about HP LaserJet 4000tn Printer
Well... you've either got a bad sensor, or there is something stuck in there. It doesn't take much to signal the jam.
Assuming you've been using it for a while, and the same type of paper, you might try some canned air and blow out the paper travel areas. (stay away from the toner cartridge.. remove that when you start blowing air around). If you're lucky this will dislodge whatever is tripping the sensor or you may see a small piece of paper fly out.
Carefully check the entire paper path and even pull out the supply paper, ruffle through it back and forth then replace it and give it a try.
Hit clear and/or power it off for a minute then back on... hopefully you had it off when you did all the above.
If that doesn't clear it, again, may be a bad sensor, or something stuck you can't find. In either case you're going to need a technician to get further towards getting the machine back in working order.
