Apple recommends a newer version of iTunes. You can find it as a free download at Apple's website.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

My Apple iPad 2 won't update. It's running iOS 9.

It may be too full. Check how much free space you have. Try to have approximately 3GB free. Delete things that are easy to replace like apps, or music you can download again.

How to update iOS I need help I was updating and my phone froze

Here are some things to check before you get started:
Update your device wirelessly The easiest way to update your device is wirelessly, also called "over the air." Here's how:
  1. Plug in your device to a power source.
  2. Tap Settings > General > Software Update. (See fig.1 below)
  3. Tap Download and Install to download the update. Updates might download automatically while your device is connected to Wi-Fi and a power source.
  4. Tap Install when the download completes, or tap Later to install the update later. If your device is passcode enabled, it will ask you to enter the passcode before installing the update.
    (See fig.2 below)
Some iOS updates aren't available as over-the-air updates. VPN or proxy connections might prevent your device from contacting the iOS update servers.
Update your device using iTunes If you can't update wirelessly, or if you want to update with iTunes, follow these steps:
  1. If you use your device's Personal Hotspot for your computer's Internet connection, update your device wirelessly or connect your computer to another network.
  2. Install the latest version of iTunes on your computer.(see fig 1 below)
  3. Plug in your device to your computer.
  4. In iTunes, select your device.
  5. In the Summary pane, click Check for Update.
    (See fig.3 below)
  6. Click Download and Update.

Hi there!
There can be several reasons why you are getting this error message. First, make sure that your user account is an administrator account. If you are sure that your account is an admin, follow this steps:
1. Choose Run from the Start menu. type %Temp% and click OK. delete all files inside the temp directory 3. Click again on run from start menu. Type cmd and hit Enter. 3. Drag iTunesSetup.exe from the Desktop into the C:\\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe window. 4. Add a space and then this text: /extract %TEMP% 5. Press return/enter. This will extract three Windows installer packages into your TEMP directory. 6. Navigate back to your TEMP directory. 7. Launch the AppleSoftwareUpdate Windows Installer Package. Complete the installation. 8. Launch the QuickTime Windows Installer Package. Complete the installation. 9. Launch the iTunes Windows Installer Package. Complete the installation.
Please reply if this will not fix the problem. Cheers!

For Adobe reader you shouldnt have to have anything else installed on your computer. Go to www.download.com and search for adobe reader. Most likely version 9 will come up, download and install this again and try to open up the file that you are trying to look at.

ITunes 9 won't always open on my computer no matter whcih approach I use. Help!

This is a generic problem with the itunes setup in most computers. Try re-installing the application.
If after reinstalling the problem persists then here is a little tip: Itunes 9 is a program that requires a lot of memory space try freeing up your unit to have more space and run less programs when you intend to use the Itunes.
If you can afford it try upgrading the RAM of your unit., This will help.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Here's what you need to do:
Uninstall iTunes.
Create another User (administrator) account in your computer.
Log in to that user account and install iTunes. There's won't be any problem after that.
Now with your dowmloaded songs, i believe Apple keeps a record of the songs that you bought, so i think they will allow your account to redownload it without additional cost, BUT, I'm not sure about that.

Go to your iPod settings. Click on 'Reset Network Settings' .
Now, try to upgrade it.
