Question about Samsung SCX-4100 All-In-One Laser Printer

1 Answer

Print quality: streak/poor printing along one side of page.

I mistakenly posted this under another problem... sorry.

When I print there is an area towards the left side of the page where the printing is blurry/missing parts.

Example: I try to print a solid sheet of just black and I will have a somewhat spotty white stripe (about 1/2 inch thick) down the left side of the page.

I tried a "cleaning" sheet for laser printers from staples and it did not help. Any suggestions?

Same issue here! No matter what the cartridge (tried 2 brand-new ones) and no matter how I shake 'em- the left side is very light. Right side is fine.

Print quality issues on these models is usually if not always down to the cartridges used. I bet you are using compatible cartridges. If so just buy a set of genuine ones and I bet the quality will be perfect again.

On Canon iRC 3200 Laser Printer:: streaks of fainted print

if one side prints well its not the fuser, plus those fusers normaly make alot of noise when they start to act up. right above the bypass tray is a cover with a screw in the front of it. remove this and inside is the ITB belt(two blue handles) if you pull it out there is a metal plate on the bottom bending this up can solve this problem. the paper can drag across this plate causing streaks.hope this helps.

Smasung ML2510 Laser print quality poor especially on graphics

Full isn't always the answer, in order to refill a cartridge properly you need to also replace the cleaning blade inside. The blade wears out and doesn't clean the drum properly and also lets toner leak all over. Your best bet is a new OEM cartridge, or put a new cleaning and Dr. blade in yours.

Printer has set for a while. The print quality is very poor. Black is grey, there are streaks across the page.

Take the cartridge out and shack it side to side a few times to move the toner around and reinstall it.

CLJ8550n poor print quality and wrinkled paper

this is usually not caused by the paper tray. this problem is usually caused by the fuser assembly. check your paper path. dead cycle the printer, shut the printer down before the paper enters the fusing area, check for wrinkles. remove all paper, print again, check the output, wrinkles, replace the fuser.

Zebra 110Xi III Plus Thermal Printer print quality degredation

Hello,

You can try cleaning the print head with some isopropyl alcohol and a swab but be sure not to touch the element with your fingers that can get grease from your finger on it causing the oil to burn out the element very quickly. You can also check the Print head element its self. What you are going to be looking for are white spots or streaks on the print head. If you see white spots or streaks your print head has reached end of life and needs to be replaced. If instructions are needed on how to remove the Print head and or identify what DPI Print head you have installed please let me know I can post something up for you. If a Print head is needed please let me know as well. I currently carry them in stock new.

Thanks
