It changing to headset mode... go into your profile settings (normal, work, silent, headset, etc) and you should be able to change the various options for when you have the headset plugged in.

(You may have to have the headphones plugged in at the time to change the settings...)

Good luck!

I have an RCA Tablet RCT6773W22 Android Version 4.4.2 The tablet is in Silent Mode.

I'm betting the volume switch is actually stuck and that the sound is just going down to "silent" the moment you release the "up" button. Does the sound get loud and just fade away? If so then that's probably it.

Since you declined to specify the model of your Uniden cordless phone I can only direct you to select it from the list beginning here if it's a DECT 6.0 phone or the list beginning here if it's a 5.8GHz phone as stated in your other post.

I cannot hear any kind of sounds from my device like ring tone, message alert, songs

Either your phone is on silent, your volume is all the way down, or your speaker is broken. Most likely the first two, but if it IS your speaker, return it to your Cellphone Provider and tell them of your problem.

I plugged my earphones into my ipod and laptop to play music, and the music comes out of my left earphone, but not the right

Hello,
This could the way the music is been recorded if it is strero or mono, also do confirm the earphone if one side of the earphone is faulty or not, if bad replace with the exact type and if not the media itself is faulty, you can take it the an electronics repair shop for them to diagonised the appliances... Hope this will help in solving.......

I don't know how to put my phone easily on silent for work

Some phones will automatically put you to the "mode" menu if you quickly press the power button. Don't hold it long enough to completely turn off the phone, just enough to activate the menu. Choose silent, and walla you're there. There also profiles on many phones. You can set your own profile to allow the phone to be silent during work hours and regular after/before work.

assuming it is a wire earphone which comes bundled with the set then
as soon as u plugged in the set should detect and show 'earphone plugged in', if not the problem is with the earphone itself.
If it is ok and can,t hear, check for the user profile selected as 'Headset'.
Now turn on the radio.

To check whether FM is working or not [diagnostic verify]Warning: DO NOT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS
enter *#66*# to enter Factory mode. Go to the end of the menu & select FM Radio --> select any channel to listen hiss sound. If so the set is ok. EXIT now. Mind that the earphone wire only works as fm antenna for the device that's why radio is disabled by default till it finds the earphone is plugged in.

Keep some space blank in the phone memory as it may be the problem.
if the problem is something else then describe what is happening stepwise.
