You can buy a coverter box that converts RCA to F connector at radio shack, or best buy.

I have a Magnavox ZV427MG9 DVD Recorder VCR Combo. Do I need a separate tuner? If so what kind? Thanks

Hello
Ofcourse you need an external tuner to receive any RF signals. Your Magnavox is not equipped with internal tuner with it. OK.

I have just purchased a Magnavox VHS/DVD recorder/player and cannot hook it up to my TV as my TV only has a coax plug in the back. Someone said I need a tuner. Where do I purchase one and how...

A tuner will only help if you want to record a signal and the DVD/VCR doesn't have a built-in tuner for that broadcast type (ATSC (OTA Digital in the US), NTSC (analog), Clear-QAM (unencrypted digital cable)). What you need is an RF modulator (composite to coax converter). These are available at many stores that sell electronics. The price will depend on the store. Here's one that is $30 at Radio Shack: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103095 . Walmart and Best Buy also list them.

I hope this helps.

I need a manual for my Magnavox ZV427MG9 A

This was manufactured by Funai Corp for Magnavox. The manual for the ZV427MG9 is here: http://www.funai-corp.com/support/manuals.aspx . Enter your model number, ZV427MG9, in the search box.

The direct link to the PDF is: http://www.funai-corp.com/6pdf/om/ZV427MG9A.pdf . However, this link may not work as well as the one above.

I hope this helps.

I purchased a MDR513h/f7 hdd & dvd Player/recorder for my cable TV. I can not watch one channel while recording another. Comast said I must have a dual turner and that is what I purchased (I think)....

This model has only one tuner, I'm afraid. You can only watch one channel at a time, unless you split the cable signal going into it. One side goes to the recorder, the other to the TV. Then you use the single tuner in the recorder to record and the TV's tuner to watch the other channel.

VCR is eating tapes

There are different reasons that a VCR could start eating tapes. It could that it just needs a good cleaning or it could have a mechanical problem you will really need to have it checked out by a service center to determine why. If you have small children I would check it for signs of “peanut butter sandwiches. J
