SOURCE: 2 Wire 802.11g wont stay connected

Hi, had the same prob. I was able to fix it. The file set you downloaded for the driver (TWWGPC_TEMP) has a file in it called Wireless Cfg, run that if you haven't already, that will configure the card. Then open the folder CMG and run the Setup file. This will install the Wireless Client Card Utility. In the utility add the network(s) you connect with to My networks. After I did that the intermittency of the connection went away. I hope it works for you too.

SOURCE: D-Link Wireless Router WBR-1310, Version A1

I had the same problem.

Make sure you turn off all the security with the software in package then slowly turn it all back on, on piece at a time. For whatever reason, it comes with MAC address filtering already turned on, which makes it impossible to see if you don't have the right info put in to the computer that the router was configured with.

SOURCE: Wireless Internet through 2Wire router not working

First of all change your router to WPA rather than WEP. WEP is easily cracked now and is not secure. That might be what your laptop is looking at.

Secondly, update the wireless drivers to the current version from the website.

Make sure your router is broadcasting on 'auto' (802.11a/b/g, and N if supported), It ay be broadcasting only on, say 11g and your laptop doesn't support it. Updating the wireless drivers may also fix this.

Your question is too generic to answer, please provide more information as to what you are trying to do. Get channels using a tuner? Are you using a cable box or satellite receiver? Please indicate Make and Model of television. Perhaps I could be more helpful with additional info.

My internet keep crashing

If your Internet Explorer keeps randomly crashing (closing by itself), there may be an add-on or temporary page disrupting the connection. Every time you browse the web, Internet Explorer keeps track of the websites you visit. It keeps these pages, along with cookie trackers, in the "Temporary Browsing History" folder. Some websites cause Internet Explorer to crash.

Open the Internet Explorer browser. Go to "Tools > Delete Browsing History." Hit "Delete All." Check off the box that says "Also delete files and settings stored by add-ons." Hit "OK." Close and reopen the browser. b> Disable Add-Ons b> Go to "Start > Search." Type "Internet Explorer" and hit "Enter." The computer will search for any files with this label. Double-click on the file that says "Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons)." This will allow you to browse in IE without any additional plug-ins or add-ons that might be causing the browser to crash. b> Reset Internet Explorer b> Open the IE browser. Go to "Tools > Internet Options." Hit "Advanced." Click on "Reset" and then hit "Enter." Close and reopen the browser. Hope this helps.

How to fix not good video call connection always on skype

Try the ManyCam.

You can always download Manycam and install it. Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "download.cnet.com" (without the quotes). Click on the link to go to the site. When the site opens look down on the left and you will see a gray area that says Find Software. Type "Manycam" (without the quotes) in the white search area then hit the search mirror. When it brings back your results look for the one that says ManyCam Virtual Webcam. Down load it and install it. Make sure you remove the check box on any junky programs it would like to install. You only want to install ManyCam, no additions whatsoever during the install. ManyCam is totally FREE and easy to use, and you will always know where your webcam software is.

After you install it you can go to ManyCam's website to learn how to use it on skype at:

My dns isnt set it says. how do i fix it?

The wireless access point isn't passing DNS to your laptop. Go in an manually assign 8.8.8.8 as the DNS setting.

Type ncpa.cpl into the Start menu search box or hit the Windows key + R at the same time and type it in that box. Right click on the wireless connection and select Properties. Go down to TCP/IP and select it. Click Properties. Enter 8.8.8.8 in the Preferred DNS server box and click OK. Click OK on the Wireless Connection Properties box.

Edit- Reboot your laptop with those new settings. I'll check back in about 45 when I get home to see if you are still having problems.

2nd Edit - Type ncpa.cpl into the Start menu search box again to bring up the Network connections screen. Right click on the Wireless connection and select Diagnose. Let me know if that takes care of it.

thanks.

Connect internet

step 1 go to system settings

step 2 go to internet and type in pin

step 3 then go to connection settings there should be be connection1, connection2, and connection 3 lined up. go to one that says none or if u have 1 that says set up complete erase it and go to that 1
step 4 hit search for access point a weird name should come up beside it should be a lock and a green, yellow, or red outlined box with bars in it.

step 5 the gray box with the weird name in it

step 6 hit the gray box underneth the word WEP

step 7 there shoulsd be a bunch of numbers on the side of your modem. put the numbers in the middle of the three rows. they should be 10 numbers in perenthesis. example (4604069716)

step 8 put that number inside the black boxes without using the perenthesis

step 9 press OK when u are done typing it you should come back to the box under WEP with stars in it

step 10 press OK when u get back there. then it will ask u "do u want to save these settings" press OK again.then it should say "connection saved.Begin connection test?" press OK. when it is connected it will say connection test successful. then u should come back 2 the page that says
"connection settings options and user agreements

all u have to do is do it 2 more times and u should be able to surf the web.

I have a motorola dch70 cable box from comcast. I recently hooked it up and set it on top of my TV. I cannot get any info on channels or any info when I hit guide. If I hit the ondemand button it says...

you say that it works if you move it away from the tv set, its due to the electrical interference of the high frequency internal tv signals with that of cable box, you need to shield/reduce the interference by either moving the box away from tv set or placing the box on a grounded metallic plate on the tv set

How to connect the 3.0 IR remote to control the receiver?

Hi there! This is Kimberly Escobar with DISH Network. I just ran across your post and would like to provide you with the information you need. IN order to program your remote to the receiver box the first thing you need to do is access the System Info screen, you can do this by pressing the Sys info button on the front of your receiver box if it has one, by pulling the smart card out, or by powering off the receiver and pressing the channel up button once, Once you are in the System Info screen down at the bottom you will see something that says remote address next to it you will have a white box with a number in it. To address the remote you need to press and hold the SAT button located at the top until all the other buttons light up in red once they do you will enter a number between 1-15 (different from the one already in the white box) after you enter the number you chose press the pound key (#) and record button 3 times, the SAT button should blink red 3 times after that try the remote it should work. You can also find more information and additional help on Dish network.com follow this link http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/remote-setup it will take you through the steps that need to be performed. If you need any additional help please feel free to contact us directly at 1800-333-DISH.

I need to know it's encryption key

you cant find it without being connected to it.
is there another computer on the network that is working if so just get into the router and look under wireless or security and it will tell you the key.

to access the router on a wokring pc just goto start ....run......type "cmd" in the run text box and hit run it should bring up a command window that looks something like C:\documents and settings

type ipconfig and press enter

it should give you some info the default gateway is the router so if it says defualt gateway.......:192.168.1.1 then 192.168.1.1 is router

open internet explorer or other web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 or whatever the gateway ip is and hit enter and that should let you into router.

most default passwords on routers are admin/admin or admin with a blank pass or admin/password
