It is usually caused from food scraps that get caught in the drain filter. It is located on the bottom of the machine under the lower rack. It either pops out or unscrews.

Good Luck

On start DW drains but does not fill...putting hot water into machine will get it to start and run cycle sometimes only...

Main control board is bad. Drain sequence is a power on test, Main board is not sending signal to open valve or is sensing water is present in the machine when it is not.

Flood switch 920 model

Not sure what the actual model number is but usually the F1 error with Fisher and Paykel dishwasher means water has entered the flood switch located at the base. This could be due to leaky hoses or water leaking through the door or lid seal. Wait for a day or two until the water evaporates and try again. Otherwise you will have to dry out the flood switch and then try again. Location of flood switch will depend on your model. For double drawer dishwasher you will have to take the bottom drawer out from the housing and the switch is on the floor of housing. But make sure you take the mains power chord out before touching the insides of dishwasher. Will also need to find the cause of the leak. Other reason for F1 could be loss of power to top dishdrawer if you have double drawer. But in that case the top drawer will have no lights on. The power board is located on the base of housing under bottom drawer. Once again do not touch inside of dishwasher without shutting off mains power.

How to fix leak in miele dish washer g1202 svi has F70 fault and small leak into catch pan

The reason the pump keeps running when F70 fualt appears is that the water leak circuit has tripped which causes the dishwasher controller to empty the dishwasher to avoid flooding of the motor and pump area.

The sources of leaks could be many, to start with hoses and water inlet valve. If you feel you can handle such repairs then go ahead otherwise call a technician.

Make sure the mains power is turned off when you are working with the dishwasher internals.

Water in Dishwasher Bottom

Hello Richard, Welcome to Fixya ! You've come to the right place. The problem you're experiencing unfortunately is a common one. The water inlet valve has been an issue with B/S/H built ( this includes bosch, thermador, seimens & gaggenau ) dishwasher's going back to the mid 90's. The part to repair it is available at most brick & mortar appliance part centers or you can check out on-line vendors such as repairclinic, apwagner etc. Do a search for part # 1105846 at repairclinic, you'll see what I'm talikng about. By the way it's about $35. Hope that helps move you forward. Let me know if I can assist you further, or need help on how to change it etc. It's relatively easy with Bosch. Thanks for coming to "fixya" for your inquiries and please take a second to rate this answer according to my helpfulness. Goof luck. Macmarkus :)

Does not feed any water just sounds like its doing something but not

Without the model number i cannot tell what type of hotpoint dishwasher it is. If it still makes a noise when the door is open then the anti flood device has been set due to water ingress to the bottom of the dishwasher.

If you disconnect the dishwasher from the mains and after pulling it out, gently tip it back (you will need some towels at the back of the appliance), you may see water pouring out of the bottom.

If this is the case and it then works then you will need to call a engineer to locate the reason for the water ingress.

Bosch dishwasher S10R1B: Water not pumped out

Normally it is the impeller which is stuck. Take out the dishes and the filters and empty it for water by hand. Yes it is a dirty job. Then at the bottom there is an opening in the steel where the water is collected. Empty this too. At the bottom left there is a torx20 screw that keeps the cover for the impeller. remove the cover and check that the impeller can move. The may be object stuck
You canalso force the safety mechanism in the door with a screwdriver and try to see if the impeller moves when it is supposed to empty water.
My problem is that I did all this but it still does not move. It may be the impeller motor which is broken. To replace that one is not easy.

Water does not go in

First make sure that there is nothing on the bottom of the dishwasher tub where the float switch is located. Different machines locate them in different places on the bottom of the dishwasher tub below the bottom rack. If you pull the bottom rack out and find a plastic float and move it gently up and down you will probably hear a clicking sound. That is the switch inside the float. if that works and nothing is hindering it then go under the sink or where ever your water to the dishwasher is getting its supply and make sure the the valve is turned on and there are not leaking problems there. It these things do not work then I would start thinking on the pump being bad or the control panel for the cycles not working properly. Would need make and model number to help with that one... Hope this helps ya.
