The processor controls the delegation of programs, where the ram controls how fast it is processed.

I neeed a USER Manual for ACER MB.SE109.002 Aspire Desktop Board Motherboard

I believe what you are asking for, is a Motherboard Manual, for the motherboard used in an Acer Aspire M5400 desktop computer,

Not available.

The motherboard is made FOR Acer, by a motherboard manufacturer.
In this case the manufacturer does not supply information.
Acer does.

Motherboard,

http://www.shopping.com/acer-acer-mb-se109-002-aspire-desktop-board-motherboard/info

Specifications,

http://support.acer.com/acerpanam/desktop/2010/acer/Aspire/AspireM5400/AspireM5400sp2.shtml

With the above information you can see;

1) Processor Support.

2) Uses a Socket AM3 processor socket,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socket_AM3

[ Look at the list of AMD Phenom II, and Athlon II, processors.
Now look at this chart, {Scroll down},

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_Phenom_microprocessors#Phenom_II_series

Now look at the processor socket used for these processors. Scroll the page down, compare using the charts ]

3) The motherboard chipset is an AMD 880G,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_chipsets#A-Link_Express_III

Here you see more information on what the motherboard supports.

4) The Ram Memory used is DDR3 Sdram, at either 1066MegaHertz, or 1333MHz.
(That is PC3-8500, and PC3-10600, respectively)

The Maximum TOTAL Amount for the motherboard is 8GB.
There are 4 Ram Memory slots.
The Maximum Amount for EACH one is 2GB.

NOTE*
O/S = Operating System.
Windows XP, and Windows 7, are two examples of an O/S.

With a 32-bit O/S, the maximum amount of Ram Memory that will be recognized, is 3-1/2 GigaByte. (3.5GB)

You have to have a 64-bit O/S for above 3.5 GB.
(8GB? You need a 64-bit O/S)

ALSO, don't just use any Ol' DDR3 ram memory.

I doubt you can go into BIOS Setup, and change the Voltage, and ram timings, for a high-performance ram memory.

In otherwords 'gamer' ram memory.

JEDEC sets a standard for Ram Memory.

One of the standards is the Voltage. Standard default voltage set for your motherboard by JEDEC, for the Ram Memory, is 1.5 Volts. (DC)

MAXIMUM voltage is 1.575

That Acer board is not capable of handling DDR3 high-performance ram memory, that will exceed 1.5 volts.

(Probably isn't a BIOS upgrade either)

What is it that you seek? Post back in a Comment.

joecoolvette

HP OR ACER IS GOOD BRANDED FOR A LAPTOP?

Hi, HP and Acer are both pretty good branded laptops, better than cheap models outthere like Gateway, etc.

But its not really the brand to look for, its whats inside the laptop that counts.

The processor (intel, Vision AMD) etc
The ram (4gb or above)
The HDD (320gb or above)

the hgher the Ram, and the higher the HDD, the better the laptop.

Also I personally recommend Intel processors as Vision AMD processors can be slow (depending on which type of AMD)

Hope this answers your query

How are processors and RAM similar?

this may be quite late, but if it helps, you may think of the processor as the brain and RAM as the memory. The brain processes work with the help of thinks stored in the memory. For example, if you see a picture of an animal, the brain will go through the stored information in the memory to identify what animal it is. hope this makes sense. :)

cheers

Shuts down after 30 seconds

1st step: take out the ram and clean it with an eraser..... blow air over the ram slots and reinsert... it shall work 80% chance.

if that doesn't help then:

your PC might have a cooling problem.....

1 change the position of your PC... a place with high air moisture and high temperature can cause similar problems.

2 check , if your fan is working properly.

3 check the Processor IC thermal compound... a paste which is applied in between the processor and the fan.

I have a problem with fps. When i bought my acer 5315,the fps was good when i played games, but suddenly the fps dropped to 2-8. I have tried updating all the drivers and stuff and dont know what to do

Games always need RAM and Graphics cards to keep the frames from stuttering.Your Acer
Manufacturer: Acer Product MPN MPN Aspire 5315-2153 Key Features Processor dtrquestion.gif Celeron M 1.73 GHz Hard Drive dtrquestion.gif 80 GB Serial ATA Display 15.4 in. WXGA+ TFT Active Matrix Processor Processor Type dtrquestion.gif Celeron M Processor Speed dtrquestion.gif 1.73 GHz Memory Installed RAM 1 GB
is low on both.Win XP x32 likes 3GB of RAM and Vista wants even more. The Frames Per Second is purely a Graphics Processor Hog.
This is from Fixya website;
http://www.fixya.com/support/t1531241-acer_5315_series_laptop_get_better
Your graphics card "is" built in and cannot be upgraded. The latest drivers "from Intel" is your only option for an upgrade. To be less graphics intense decrease your screen resolution by right clicking your "desktop" and clicking "properties" then "settings".Move the pointer left one click "screen resolution".The screen will jump around a bit while it's resetting, hit "apply" and "ok".The resolution will now be less but your game will speed up-some-ultimately this laptop is not built for fast paced games.Sorry bout the news, take care!

Does Pentium 4 541 HT support an x86-64(64-bit) OS

An HT processor is not fully capable of supporting the 64 bit OS in the same way that a dual processor is.

Acer is a low to mid price brand but having said that they do usually perform quite well.

Extra ram will be of great benefit to any computer.

Processor upgrade

Need to look at the motherboard specs along with the processor "Socket". It will usually be a 754 or 939 depending on what your motherboard says. I wouldn't try too fast and set yourself up for disappointment. I would upgrade the RAM before the processor.
