Try soaking the tubes or lines in vinegar over night, make sure they are submerged. then just rinse with soap and water. good luck!

Running white vinegar thru the line will never cause damage ......and actually should help remove mineral deposits clogging the line. If you want you can reuse the white vinegar and run it thru several times till it has completely removed mineral deposits. Once it is cleaned using distilled water will prevent build up.

Ice maker makes hollow cubes and water thru the door runs real slow

If your water line is the right size, then what has probably happened is that you have ice build up in the line. You need to take everything out of your freezer, and check for ice. Blow a hair dryer on the warm setting at the point the line comes into the freezer! I have to do this to mine every once in a while!

Ice maker works but not water dispenser

Here are the steps I took to fix thi:. First, if you tapped into a copper line near your sink, turn off the off the tap completely and turn it back on again. Why? Occasionally, calcium deposits will build there and cut down your water pressure. You may have enough pressure to run your ice maker, but not enough to push the ice out of the line (I'll talk about this later). Turning the tap on and off breaks up the calcium. This will also fix an ice maker that's slow to make ice or makes hollow cubes.

Next, I just kept running my water pump (about sixty seconds or more at a time) until the water finally started to come through. When it did, a few inch-long pieces of of ice came through -- telling me that the problem was a frozen water line. If running the water pump several times doesn't work (I think it took me six tries), consider turning off your fridge for a while (be sure to remove food and pack in dry ice).
