Question about Toys

2 Answers

I have an original furby - long gray fur with pink ears and darker gray main. Still in the original box, tag is still on him and have the manual/dictionary. Had him packed away for approximately 15+ years and just got him out. Put batteries in and won't work. I did the restart process and that didn't work either. Should I send him in for repair and if I do, will there be a charge? Thanks, Betty Dilworth

Yes, I did make sure the batteries were good. Tried them in something else and they were brand new. Thanks.

I have a Furby original. It's gray long hair with pink ears and a darker gray main. I purchased it 15-20 years ago and packed it away. Came across it recently and put new batteries in it and it won't turn on. The batteries are new and I checked them with something else to make sure that wasn't the problem. What should I do?

My furby will not work?

The problem with your furby might be that it needs new batteries that was the problem with mine when that happened.

My fury boom has no sound. its 2 weeks old. I've reset it

It's probably the speaker. I got exactly the same problem and narrowed it down to a broken internal speaker. I fixed the problem by replacing the speaker.. (Yes, you have to disassemble the furby to do this :( )

My Furby moves but wont talk

I just did surgery on my sons furby and fixed this problem. His would move and no sound would come out. Keep the Furby on and go to the right side of the Furby which is where the speaker is located. Cut a small slit in the fur, small enough that your kids won't notice. if you look underneath the fur you will see the speaker. It is plastic and it has a whole bunch of holes in it. Right under the plastic there is a membrane sort of things. I found it when I took a nail or something small and pokey that fit through the holes and gently gently pushed on the membrane in certain spots it would start making noise again. Must have a short or something in it. Once you find the spot that let's it start making noise again find a very small, about a centimeter long, machine screw which is the kind that don't have a point on the end of them but are flat instead. Screw it into the hole until it pushes against the membrane and leave it there, and that should keep it talking. This should keep your kids happy

Furby won't work

Have you tried restarting? It's different from resetting. You have to keep his tongue down (as if you're feeding him) while resetting. This worked for me when Furby didn't move, only made sound. Good luck! (If you still have it, it's May already)
