Question about Computers & Internet

My wireless laptop makes a boing-springy sound every time that I click to start it or turn it on. But it works fine. Also my wireless Lexmark printer displays me settings in another language other than english, and I have been unable to change it.

Is the sound coming from the speakers, or does it sound like a mechanical noise coming from the laptop itself?

The only moving parts inside are the hard drive and the fan, so if it's not coming from the speakers, it's one of those two things. Please get back to me with the make and model of the laptop and I can help more.

Regards,

Joe

Can not turn wireless

Normally in IBM laptops there is a switch to turn ON the wireless, but if that's not turning it ON then you may check it in the control panel.

Depending upon the operating system you have, click on following things
Start
control panel
network connecitons(XP) or network & sharing connection (Vista/Win7)
then make sure that the wireless adapter is Enabled
Right click and enable it.
then try to connect to the wireless n/w again

in case the following steps does not help, reply back with some more information about the issue.
How it stopped working
when was the last time it was working fine
did you installed anything in the computer before it stopped working?
is there any switch on the laptop for Wi-Fi connectivity.
which operating system are you using

You may also log on to HNetworking.com in case you want some tech to take the remote access of your computer and help you with the wireless connectivity issue.

Can not get a print it was working but because my internet service is changed ,printer having a comunication probelm with my laptop

On the printer's control panel, reset the wireless network settings After some time the printer will create it's own P2P wireless connection. Look on the printer's control panel again to see what it named itself.
Start
Control panel
Go to hardware and sound ----> printers (just printers in XP)
On the toolbar click add a printer
Click the box, Add a network, wireless or bluetooth printer.
Finally your computer will search for the printer and you can then click on it and you are done
I hope that helps

Cannot print from laptop to printer using wireless print server

This is probably the Software Firewall on your laptop

you should probably tell your firewall software that you have an internal network (Laptop-desktop-printer) you should add the IP range of the wireless network as a trusted network.

Printer not printing

Try unplugging it or pulling the power brick out of the back, wait a few seconds, plug it back in, and then turn it on. It might have something stuck in its memory.
