My truck will not start how can i troubleshoot/repair my 88 ford f150?

Press your brake pedal and see if the brake lights work. If they don't, check for a switch on the brake pedal lever or clutch pedal. The automakers for awhile wanted to stop runaways from startups. They made it so you had to have a foot on the brake pedal or clutch to keep vehicle from running away.

It is also possible that the ignition key has a bad start position, or the shift linkage is not lined up to complete the start circuit.

We have a Barbie jeep and other power wheels vehicles. They all seem to be having the same problem - they won't run! We bought a new battery and one of the cars will run for a short time. The others...

Most auto parts store carry a load meter that will check the health of the battery. Go through the jeep first however and check that all connections are good and no wires are touching each other which would cause a dead short and drain batteries. That includes the speed pedal.

I charge the barbie 12 volt jeep and get nothing. i also got two 6 volt batteries and wired them in series bypassing the original batteries but still nothing, are these fused?

I know you are technically strong to do the bypassing part. But assumption is to do with fuse.

Your Power Wheels® 12 volt battery is equipped with a built-in thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is
a self-resetting safety device which automatically "trips" and shuts down operation of the vehicle if the vehicle is overloaded or the driving conditions too severe. Once a fuse has "tripped", remove your foot from the pedal and wait approximately 25 seconds before operating the vehicle again. To avoid repeated automatic shut-downs, avoid severe driving conditions.

better call up Fisher price, and lay back with free mind.

Bought new battery for power wheels-charged it for 18 hours and t

It will most likely be the Failsafe foot pedal switch. You can pull that switch out and order a new one through online vendors such as Amazon.com or you can make the repair on the spot by purchasing a "sealed 60 amp starter button" from your local autozone and replacing this for the old one. You will have to make it fit in the old compartment, but that can easily be done with an oversized washer. If this toy truck has three wires going to the pedal switch and most likely it does, disregard the orange one and only connect the white ones and the red one. That fixed the problem on my little one's Fisher Price Power Wheels Escalade. You can also check if the battery is good and if the motors are working by simply connecting each motor to the battery with a pair of gator clips and some cables. <!-- from fixya rte -->

Clutch problem?

Clarify please. When in gear & you take foot off the pedal it revs?
Your explanation appears to say that when you push the clutch, to disengage clutch, engine revs, as it should, and when you remove your foot, from pedal & it engages, truck runs as it should. Are you serious, or just wasting our time?
