Question about All-Pro Forced Air Kerosene Space Heater SPC-K75
Remove the top of the heater and try to turn the fan by have. If it doesn't turn, remove the black filter cover from the backof the motor and the 2 air filters, taking note of how they are installed. Next 6 screws should hold the other half of the filter cover to the motor. Loosen the 6 screws just enough to have a little play, then try turning the fan again. If you take the screws all the way out, there is a black rotor with some moveable fins that will fall out (the fins) if you tilt the motor back so hold it level or tilt it toward the fan. If the motor turns freely with the screws loose, you need to remove the 6 screws and check the rotor and figure out why it is binding.
If the motor still didn't turn when you loosened the 6 screws, the problem is probably the motor bearings and you will need a new motor.
Let me know what you find. If the motor isn't locked up then you will need to do some electrical checks on the motor.
