Re: ad pop ups
Sounds like a virus or a piece of spyware has gotten on your computer, AVG doesnt pick up alot of the viruses and spyware, i would suggest changing your virus checker and doing a scan with it. if you need more information on how to do it checkout www.onlinepcstudy.com its still under construction and new tutorials are added daily, but you will find a lesson on virus removal..

There is no way you can stop it. we all have to live with it. A anti spam program is a big help , it will put what it thinks is spam into a folder. so it doesn't get to your main email page . not perfect some will get by, some not spam may get into the spam folder. I check my folder every few days rescue the few not spam and delete the rest .
Looks like your internet browser is hijacked, you will probably need to use some kind of cleaner for your browser to get it to work correctly again, my advise is to use something like Ad-aware or something like it to clean up your issue, if you google Ad-aware you should be able to find it for free.
Hope this helps have a great day!!
to fix this problem you have to use antivirus. freewares and shareware types of antivirus are there. if you want free antivirus go to avast home antivirus. its free. you have to download the antivirus from www.avast.com site. register to get free license key which will sent to your mail. the license validates 1 year. after one year if your licens eexpires again you have to register to get another 1 year license. its a nice antivirus program for home users.
what kind of fire wall and anti virus are you useing ? I have found that the best you can find is AVG. 8.0 if you use it and the Windows Denfender together they are the best,AVG can find all trojans downloaders loops lops and any kind of worms imagen, alot of viruses we have cleaned seem to hide behind the windows files themselves,as you corner them they will pop up. Where as if the mcfee and norton are constally dormit they don't seem catch all the new viruses, try switching for an instant, and Avg will pretty much corner any kind of viruses you have and send me the out come of what is happened please thank you lala linda
Download a good virus protection program and get a good pop-up blocker. Sites can't just access your pc. You probably have spyware or malware on your computer. A lot of times you will get this stuff from visiting those kinds of sites. I would recommend Nortons or Mcafee.
hoppfully your system restore is turned on. It sounds like both of you are administrators? If it was me I would create another user with administrator properties and the both of you with limited or just your daughter limited user accounts. now back to your problem....go to the system restore and restore back to a point just before you had problems.
I know norton costs a lot of money and so must be good but norton gives you more problems than its worth my best solution for you is use one of the free antiviruses such as AVG or Avast these are two good free antiviruses free and dont give you no problems hope thishelps
