The ink system includes your printheads as well as print cartridges. Check they're not blocked or need replacing as well.

Canon mp460 printer. refilled cartridge not recognised

Dear Sir,

This is deffinately due to catridge circuit problem.Canon suggest that we have to replace emptied catridges with new genuine canon catridge they dont suggest refilling and also not give any support for refilling catridges. So you can replace catridge with new one.
This Happens due to weakining of catridge circuit portion or may long period printer not in use.
If you not want to replace catridges i will give you the possible hints it may fix refilled catridges.
1.Clean the catridge circuit portion with soft cloth, care must be taken that there is no smudge or ink traces on catridge circuit.
2.Clean the ciruit of printer catridge placing box present inside the printer .wipe out the any sumdge or ink traces.
Then re install the catridges. give the print if it shows error press resume button continuosly. I think it will fix your problem.
If it is not solution is replace the catridge with new one.

good luck

My HP 6500 on install will recognize Cyan ink

Solution:

1. Try to determine whether the catridge is at fault. How so? Switch the Magenta with the Cyan catridge. Press OK.

2. If system indicates that the Magenta is not installed, you will know that the Cyan that you put there is at fault.

3. Touch the 9 mm. hole where you can see the sponge. Does the Cyan color transfer to your finger? If not, the catridge is empty or dried up. Replace or refill.

4. If the ink is normal, then use some toilet tissue to wipe the gold contact points clean. If this fails to solve your problem, take it to your dealer and ask for a replacement (if it fails to work in their machine).

5. If this fails, then the problem is within your HP 6500. You need a technician.

Black not printing properly

Take out both the catridges from the Printer......... Take 2 Paper Towels one should be wet with Luke warm water and the other one should be dry........... Take the Colour catridge first turn it upside down and u will see a small copper plate on the catridge from where the ink comes out....... Place the wet paper towel using ur thumb on the Copper plate and press it a lit bit for 10 Seconds...... Now remove it and see whether u see any ink on the paper towel.......... U should see some ink on it now place the dry paper towel on the ink catridge in the same way........ Now do the same procedure again.......... Do the same procedure twice on the Black Catridge................. Now take the dry paper towel and turn the direction of the cartridge so that u can see a Copper plate on it with small boxes just clean that copper plate with the Dry Paper Towel.......... Lexmark 3470, new ink dosn't work.

In this case as u said u used this Catridges in 2 printers then check if u have removed the Transparent Strip from the catridges mand if it is removed and still u face this problem make sure u have inserted the Catridges in the right slot........ U need to insert the colour catridge on the right side and the black catridge should go on the left side.... If no go get the catridges replaced....... Good Luck.......
