Open all doors of machine.

Ensure it's cooled down.

Remove toner carts and any rollers or drums.

It'll be stuck to a roller or on one of the cart edges possibly.

Don't let bright light get in to drive units.

It's fiddly to get it out sometimes.

Settings for Xerox Phaser 8560 to avoid Avery label jams

Don't use old labels as I think the glue tends to seep out from the edges and get trapped, either in the IBT belt or in the fuser.
Don't use none recommended as the temperature can also cause a problem with labels getting stuck inside.
Good Luck.

Zebra LP2844 pulls labels in before printing

Yes, first of all, it is necessary that the labels are pulled backward (other wise you could not print on the upper part of the label). It appears from time to time that it is a problem - generated by the label itself. Try to use a different label (of size and material) to see if the behavior changes ...
Good luck.

Hp laserjet 4 plus label stuck and prints with smudge now

Where is the label stuck? If you are lucky and it is stuck on the toner cartridge's image drum, just replace the toner cartridge. Do not, I repeat, do not try to remove the label from the drum and continue to use the toner cartridge. The reason being that there will still be adhesive on the drum that will cause toner to stick to it and cause big bad defects on the printed page. Additionally, if you try to remove the adhesive with lighter fluid, rubbing alcohol, or other substance and a cloth/paper towel, the drum will be scratched and therefore damaged, causing defects in the printing anyway. Just save the trouble and replace the toner cartridge.

If the label is stuck elsewhere within the printer, be very careful about removing it, especially pay attention to whether any adhesive stays behind once the label is removed. Depending on where the label is, it might just be better to replace the labelled part.

It is highly recommended not to use labels inside laser printer precisely because of this problem. If you elect to do so, however, make sure that you use only laser labels. Inkjet and dot matrix (aka impact printer) labels are unacceptable. The reason being that laser printers generate about 350 Fahrenheit degrees (177 Celsius degrees) of heat which weakens the bond between the wax paper and the adhesive of the label. This causes the label to have a tendency to peel off in the fusing assembly and/or output rollers. Also the printer has a very "curvy" paper path and all that flexing of the paper tends to cause the label to want to leave the wax paper backing as well. All it takes is a loose edge of the label to find even the slightest surface to which to adhere and the deed is done: the label will leave the paper and become a part of your printer, giving you the headaches that you now endure. If you have a future need to print labels, I would suggest doing so with either a dot matrix or inkjet printer.

Obstructed copy

Typically when labels come off the paper, the get stuck on the Fuser (the heating rollers just as the paper exits the machine) Open up the printer and turn the round hand that you would clear a jam with, and look on the roller to see if they are stuck there.

They are also known to get stuck in the paper tray or pickup assembly. Follow the paper path through the machine and you will find them.

Good Luck

Have a small round label that may be stuck on the print roller of a Canon inkjet wireless printer. Anyway to check inside?

Open the covers and look inside. Take a pair tweezers and see if you can pull the small round label off if you see it.

Sticker label stuck inside

Depends on where inside the machine the label got stuck. There's covers on the back, front (which also lets you remove the toner/drum unit for more access) and also the paper tray.
If you're unable to reach the label removing these parts/opening the covers, the machine would require to be screwed apart to reach it. There is no levels to release pressure on drum or similar to reach further within, unfortunately.

A piece of clear label has stuck to something inside

You can go here and download the service manual for that printer. But as far telling you exactly where that "label" is . .I would guess either the drum or developer ..

Magicolor 2300DL 17H fatal - labels stuck in printer

This happened to me last week. A label (or part of it) has adhered to the belt inside the printer. It's an easy fix. Turn off printer and open the side door. Remove waste toner bottle. Lift blue handle in direction of arrow to 11 o'clock position to release belt unit. Carefully remove OPC drum by pressing and pulling handle as shown by little graphic (try not to leave this drum in lighted area and don't touch green drum with fingers). Next, remove two chrome thumbscrews (may have to use slotted screwdriver) on either side of belt unit, then pull out belt unit and inspect to find stuck label. You can rotate belt easily. I removed stuck label and then cleaned glue residue with Elmer's Sticky Out ( a citrus product with no solvents) and a soft cloth. Clean thoroughly and replace belt unit, replaced thumbscrews, OPC drum, and finally, the Waste Toner bottle. Close door, turn on printer and test.

I would suggest pulling the toner out and paper tray and using compressed air to blow out all ereas of the printer. If that does not work then you will have to remove the 2 screws at the back of the printer and with the two tabs at the top remove the backa nd look for paper jammed inside.
