i am trying to installs a fresh copy of windows xp onto my laptop it will boot from the cd but it says insert windows xp cd1 into drive a: my laptop doesn't have a floppy drive a:
sometimes it doesn't boot from the xp cd if i restart it

I have the same problem.

Please check your setup config to be sure of the boot order. Should be CD-ROM, Hard drive, other external media source (USB). Once you have the boot sequence set, retry the windows CD.
