The antenna works with the power cord. Try extending the length of its power cord with an extension cord.
Position of the radio in the room, the furniture in the room and your position in relation to the radio all affect its reception.
If there is a place to connect an external antenna, this will be helpful. Check with Radio shack and best buy for a FM loop antenna. Usually the wire is flat.
An inexpensive antenna for FM only is also a cheap alternative

Denon avr-1500 no X auto tune feature. when up & down scan buttons pressed, just keeps scanning w/out finding station. it does lock into a station when manually scanned. need reset & if so, how?

“when up & down scan buttons pressed, just keeps scanning w/out finding station. it does lock into a station when manually scanned. need reset & if so, how?” Don't worry. Your amp is normal. Your situation happens to any denon, onkyo and yamaha av-amp always due to extremely sensitive tunning unit. No need to reset. Tune any wanted station by another radio and jot freq. down. Enter desired freq. into the av-amp and store it.

Can't set the radio stations

When you find a frequency that you
want to store in memory, press one of pre-
set tuning buttons 1through 6 and hold until the
preset number stops flashing.
The number you have pressed will flash in the
preset number indicator and then remain lit.
The selected radio station frequency has been
stored in memory.
The next time you press the same preset tun-
ing button the radio station frequency is re-
called from memory.

My pc is a new phillips freevents with windows vista. i seem to be having trouble tuning my digital stations in.I have connect the anttena to the back of the pc and tunned some stations in it seems to only...

It sounds like the problem can only be either the card or the antenna. the Media player only plays the received signal from the card. perhaps, the antenna position is too low or surrounded by metal and not able to get a good enough signal.

Station Tunning

iv'e never seen a radio that can scane 0.1 they usually go 0.2. Normally headunits will scan if you hodl down the next button for a second. If you press it real quick it will go up .2 instead of scanning. However some don't, hope this helps.

Tunning -- Newbie

I haven't done this on mine yet, but on most you simply tune to the desired station then HOLD IN the preset button you want to assign it to until it blinks or some such indication of setting acceptance.
