I'm sorry I'm not familiar with the toy. Have you tried a really good hobby shop(this shop would deal with serious remote planes, and remote cars). They may be able to find a power supply for you, or get the manufacturers phone number or internet address, or even get you to someone that can fix it. Serious hobby shops have many different batteries and power supplies( I know, I have 2 remote control cars that do about 60 mph. Big Toys) please try there. Hope you find it
This would a tough one to run parts down for, but you could get lucky on Ebay, otherwise you will have to jury rig an alternate power supply box. A TV repair shop might be able to help you out, and you could call around and see if any of them would be willing to repair it, and go from there. The hard part about this type of job is getting a replacement case that will fit. You might try opening the case and seeing if you could solder some wires to the internal connections, or reroute another set to the power feed connectors. If you have to, you can saw a plastic case open with a Dremel rotary saw tool, and then use epoxy or super or gorilla glue to reseal it.
It's not going to be a fun job, or necessarily easy, but if one has high enough motivation, one can figure out something, oftentimes.
If you decide not to attempt it, see if a TV or computer repair shop would help.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

tbreeze, thanks so much for the info. In fact I did, on a whim, stop at our local electronic store and...behold...he said he could fix it! This 'dog' has such a wonderful 'singing' voice, I just couldn't toss him aside. Thanks again, Vicki
Thanks. THe TV repair guy is the path we chose and he says he can fix it. Appreciate your thoughts. s/Richard
