Are you using an HDMI cable? Go to input and select TV. Then you should be able to access the Plug & Play option and be able to turn off the Demo Mode.

1. Push the Input button on the Remote Control for your Insignia T.V.
2. Highlight the T.V. function from the source list. Click Enter to select T.V. for the source.
3. Press the Menu button on the Remote Control.
4. Scroll down to setup and highlight setup. Press Enter.
5. Scroll over to plug and play and press Enter on the Remote Control.
6. Go through the plug and play set up and select home use, not store use. This will eliminate "Demo" or "Store" mode.

Hi there
Is there a Home Use option to select when in the TV menu? Perhaps try new installation and then look for the home use option.
Hope this helps

Ihave a insignia ns-lcd47hd-09 tv. when i press the power button the light turns blue but no picture comes on only black screen.

I think your insignia is set for SHOP mode instead of HOME mode. I changed mine to HOME and it's working fine now. Press your menu button and then scroll down to setup. You're looking for Plug and PLay which should be the very first choice. If it's greyed out as mine was you'll have to change your imput from HDMI to TV in order to get to the P&P. Once you're in the Plug and Play your first choice is language. The second should be SHOP or HOME. Make sure to select HOME. You can skip scanning for channels. This fixed my problem with the blue light. The store uses SHOP so if someone plays around and changes something, all they have to do is shut off the TV and turn it back on. Please let me know if this works.

My insignia tv has "store

Hello chadprid24,
you should be able to change it by selecting menu then setup followed by plug & play. Look for setup wizzard. If not look for reset to factory defaults in the menu screen again. I hope this helps, if not give me a feedback. Good luck.

How do I keep my samsung ln46c550j1f in wide screen picture size? Every time I switch it to wide screen it turns back 16.9 screen size every hour or so.

Hi
Your TV is set to "Store Demo Mode", this means people can play with them in the shop and it always returns back to a normal picture every hour or so. Here's how to fix it :)
Press Source - select TV.
Press Menu - Select the Setup menu (its the picture of the cog on the left 4th picture down)
Select "Plug and Play"... the default pin is 0 0 0 0
Select your language
Make sure "HOME USE" has a yellow box around it.
Select your country.
Scan in your channels if you need to?
Fixed :)
By the way... I have the same tv ;)

The demo mode apears every 30 minutes. I can't really stand it. How can I shut it doen for ever? Sharp aquos LED 40"

I'm not certain of the specific model number of your set, but this should be the same for all Sharp Aquos models.

First, navigate to TV input, and select menu
Next, enter setup and select, "ez setup"
In the ez setup menu, select "home", not "store", for television location.

This should turn off the demo mode and solve your issue.

The brand name Samsung is in the middle of the screen. I wish to remove it and with no manual I do not know what to do. Also there are other messages fliping on and off the screen too.

Method 1

To remove your TV from Shop Mode or Store Demo Mode, follow these steps:

  1. Press the Volume + button on the side panel of your TV. If your TV does not have a side panel, press the Volume button on the front panel. The TV displays the volume bar.
  2. With the volume bar displayed on the screen immediately press and hold the MENU button on the side panel of your TV for about seven seconds. Again, if your TV does not have a side panel, press the MENU button on the front panel. If Dynamic or Dynamic Mode is displayed on the screen, your TV has been removed from Shop Mode or Store Demo Mode.

Note: You may want to press the INFO button on your remote again to confirm you TV is no longer in Shop Mode or Store Demo Mode.

Method 2
  1. Press the Volume button on your remote.

Method 3
  1. Change your TV to the "TV" source. The TV source is the coax (RF) source. It does not matter if you do not have anything connected to this source.
  2. Press the MENU button.
  3. Use the ??² or ??¼ button to select the "Setup" portion of the menu, and then press the ENTER button.
  4. setup%20indicated.jpg

Note: On many TVs the menu sections name is displayed on the left side of the menu and sideways.

  1. The "Plug & Play" option should be highlighted if it is not use the ??² or ??¼ arrow to select "Plug & Play" option, and then press ENTER.
  2. Note: If the "Plug & Play" option is grayed out and can't be selected this means that you are not on the TV (Coax (RF)) source. Please return to step 1.

  1. Follow the on screen instructions. When the options comes up select "Home" instead of "Shop".
  2. Finish going through the plug and play option and your TV will no longer be in Shop Mode or Store Demo.

How do I switch off the feature that auto adjust the Brightness every 30 minutes - Its a samsung le37r888d - tanks

The TV is in whats called Shop Mode or Store Demo.

To remove this, you can etiher go back through the Plug & Play option via the Menu and Setup option.

Alternatively, if you press the Volume + on the side of the TV, then press and hold Menu until the screen goes blank, this will change the TV to Home Mode or Home Use and stop the settings resetting every 30 mins.
